Taylor Swift lyrics

Most people assume that the only thing Taylor Swift sings about are her exes and her relationships. But Swift's reputation precedes her when it comes to songwriting; she is a talented songwriter and has written some inspiring lyrics that have helped me when I am feeling down.

"Someday I'll be living in a big old city, and all you're ever gonna be is mean."

"Mean" was written to all of the bullies out there, asking them the simple question: "Why you gotta be so mean?" Whenever someone out there is bringing you down, just remember these lyrics and how they're going to be nothing more than what they already are. Mean.

"Lost your balance on a tightrope, oh it's never too late to get it back."

"Innocent" is a song that tells you that you are more than your mistakes. These lyrics will help you remember that you can always recover and grow from past errors.

"Someday you won't remember this pain you thought would last forever and ever; and there you'll stand, ten feet tall.  I will say, I knew it all along."

"Sweeter than Fiction" is a song about struggling to get to where you want to be. Everyone goes through rough patches when trying to get to their goal, and sometimes these rough patches make us want to quit. Taylor is there to remind us that although you're suffering now, if you keep working at it, you will eventually find success.

"Everything will be alright if we just keep dancing like we're 22."

"22" is the staple girls night out song. It's a song about forgetting your worries and just having a good time. So when you're stressed out about what's going on in your life, just dance it out because everything is going to be okay.

"It's a new soundtrack I could dance to this beat forevermore, the lights are so bright but they never blind me."

Whenever I listen to "Welcome to New York" it makes me want to learn a million new things at once. If you're ever nervous about trying something new, these lyrics will give you the confidence to take it on!

"Cause baby I could build a castle, out of all the bricks they threw at me."

Taylor has always had a lot of hate thrown her way, but she never fails to rise above it all. These lyrics, from the song "New Romantics," help remind you to never let someone's hate bring you down, and you can always rise above it.

"Hold on to the memories they will hold on to you."

As we grow up, we move on from things, no matter how much we want to stick with them. These lyrics remind you that although moving on is hard, you will always have the memories to hold close with you.

18 Things I Want To Do Now That I'm 18

I'm technically an adult, so I'm legally required to live a little, right?

For the entirety of my high school career, I was always seen as the goody-two-shoes. I never got in trouble with a teacher, I kept stellar grades, and when I wasn't doing extracurricular activities, I was at home studying. Even when I did go out, it was usually with a bunch of fellow band geeks. The night would end before 11:00 PM and the only controversial activity would be a fight based on who unfairly won a round of Apples-to-Apples when someone else clearly had a better card (I promise I'm not still holding a grudge).

Now that I'm officially an adult, I want to pursue some new things. I want to experience life in a way that I never allowed myself to do prior to entering college. These are the years that I'm supposed to embark on a journey of self-discovery, so what better way to do that than to create a bucket list?

I've been super busy lately with school work, studying, etc. Besides the fact that I do nothing but AP chemistry and AP economics, I constantly think of stupid questions that are almost impossible to answer. So, maybe you could answer them for me, and if not then we can both wonder what the answers to these 15 questions could be.
