Inspiration As Told By Disney

As a quote junkie, I have found that some of my favorite inspirational quotes come from nothing other than Disney movies. We've all grown up with Disney. It's part of our childhood. It was part of our dreams. But after re-watching Disney movies at an older age, I realized that there are so many good morals embedded in these movies.

1. “Just keep swimming” – Finding Nemo

2. “The flower that blooms in adversity is the most rare and beautiful of them all.” - Mulan

3. “The most predictable thing about life is its unpredictability.” – Ratatouille

4. “The past can hurt. But the way I see it, you can either run from it, or learn from it.” – The Lion King

5. “Our fate lives within us. You only have to be brave enough to see it.” - Brave

6. “You must not let anyone define your limits because of where you come from. Your only limit is your soul.” – Ratatouille

7. “If watchin’ is all you’re gonna do, then you’re gonna watch your life go by without you.” - The Hunchback of Notre Dame

8. “A true hero isn’t measured by the size of his strength, but by the strength of his heart.” - Hercules

9. “The very things that hold you down are going to lift you up.” - Dumbo

10. “Like so many things, it is not what’s outside, but what is inside that counts.” – Aladdin

12. “Life is a journey to be experienced, not a problem to be solved.” – Winnie the Pooh

13.“If you focus on what you left behind, you will never see what lies ahead.” – Ratatouille

14. “Giving up is for rookies.” – Hercules

Disney teaches us to believe in ourselves. To keep dreaming. To look at the bigger picture. As cliche as this sounds, these ideas are often belittled and forgotten in our daily lives. I love Disney movies even as an adult, because they remind me of the confidence and dreams I had as a child. Have faith in yourselves and keep dreaming.

Now that Halloween is over, it's time to focus on the Holiday Season. Don't get me wrong, I think Thanksgiving is great and can't wait for it, but nothing gives me greater joy than watching Freeform's 25 Days of Christmas, lighting peppermint scented candles, decking the halls, and baking gingerbread cookies. So while we approach the greatest time of the year, let's watch the 15 best Christmas movies of all time.

6 Signs You Are An English Major

There are various stereotypes about college students, most of which revolve around the concept of your major. Unfortunately, we often let stereotypes precede our own judgments, and we take what information is immediately available to us rather than forming our own opinions after considerable reflection. If I got a dollar for every time my friends have made a joke about my major I could pay my tuition. One stereotype on campus is the sensitive, overly critical and rigid English major. Here are six telltale signs you are one of them.

27 Things 'The Office' Has Taught Us

"The Office" is a mockumentary based on everyday office life featuring love triangles, silly pranks and everything in between. It can get pretty crazy for just an average day at the office.

When you were little, your parents probably told you television makes your brain rot so you wouldn't watch it for twelve straight hours. However, I feel we can learn some pretty valuable stuff from television shows. "The Office," while a comedy, has some pretty teachable moments thrown in there. You may not know how to react in a situation where a co-worker does something crazy (like put your office supplies in jello) but thanks to "The Office," now you'll have an idea how to behave ifsomething like that should happen.

Here are just a few of the things that religious Office watchers can expect to learn.

Being pre-med is quite a journey. It’s not easy juggling school work, extracurricular activities, volunteering, shadowing, research, and MCAT prep all at the same time. High School And College Sucked All Of The Fun Out Of Reading

Books were always about understanding for me, about learning the way someone else sees, about connection.

High School And College Sucked All Of The Fun Out Of Reading

I keep making this joke whenever the idea of books is brought up: "God, I wish I knew how to read." It runs parallel to another stupid phrase, as I watch my friends struggle through their calculus classes late at night in our floor lounge: "I hope this is the year that I learn to count." They're both truly idiotic expressions, but, when I consider the former, I sometimes wonder if there's some truth to it.
