Anxiety is...
Lonesome. You feel as though it is you against the world. You feel as though nobody understands what is going through your mind or what you are experiencing inside your head.
Scary. You don't know how long your panic attack is going to last. You feel as though you have no control over your thoughts. You know some of the things you are thinking are completely irrational, but anxiety keeps feeding into it.
Unstable. One minute you think you are doing okay, and the next anxiety comes creeping back in. You feel as though you have everything under control and suddenly it's like a tsunami wave comes crashing in and makes it a mess again.
Overwhelming. You know sometimes you let anxiety win. No matter how hard you try to win the fight, anxiety comes out on top. It seems like there is nothing you can do to conquer the monster on some days.
Overreacting. The silliest, stupidest thing could happen, but it could be the thing to set you over the edge. You know you should just let the situation roll off your back, but you end up dwelling on it until it consumes you.
Frustation. You realize how much you put your loved ones through with your constant worrying. You know it gets aggravating for them and you want to stop but anxiety just keeps winning.
Drowning. Sometimes your anxiety gets so bad that it feels like you are on the verge of drowning and no one is there to help keep you afloat.
Helplessness. You feel as though there is no one who can help you. Your mind races, your heart goes a mile a minute. You get scared to express your anxieties sometimes because you know they are irrational.
Triggers. The littlest thing can trigger your anxiety. It can be a tv commercial to a car you see on the street. Sometimes you have no idea why certain things are your triggers.
Self-doubt. You feel totally incapable of anything. You feel worthless. You feel so alone. You feel as though you are not good enough for anyone. You feel as though you are so crazy, no one will ever love you.
