Poetry On Odyssey: Inhumane Humans

Don't forget to see the humanity in others

Poetry On Odyssey: Inhumane Humans
Andrew Council

When we get too caught up in our egos

And our places in society

We forget to see the humanity in others

We treat others as if they are less than.Instead of equal

We no longer see them as a mutual human

Instead of being their roots, and holding them down,

We become a leaf, floating on the sea of uncertainty

Visualize it

Imagine being lost and alone all of your life, and the one time you expect to be accepted in what you thought was your society.

Then they reject you

Now that person is no longer watching you float passed them, now they are sinking

Sinking to the very bottom, as they watch you float above them.

Be careful what you say

You are simply watching this person from a bird's eye view

You are simply tapping on the glass, attempting to understand how they live and love their life

Matter of fact, don’t attempt to understand, it’ll become too confusing

Because Yesterday we all thought it was amusing

And Today we’re the ones who are losing,

A friend, an associate, a human.

With that, here are 15 of the smartest, sassiest ladies gracing our screens that remind us that women do, indeed, rule:

If you are like me, you have an interesting personality. Basically, you love to be sassy and snarky, gossip, and act like a total bitch (not really), but deep down, you are actually a very genuinely nice person. The idea of actually hurting someone truly makes you feel bad, and you probably have never actually hurt someone’s feelings because your kindness always shines through, even if you do not want it to. Not sure exactly what I would call this type of personality, but if you identify with it, here are some feelings you can undoubtedly relate to.
