These Creators Are Going To Have a Huge 2024
Edited by Hailey Hastings

These creators I'm featuring today are going to be names we are hearing for years to come, it's that simple. Now mind you, this article is going to strictly focus on online content creators that I think are going to seamlessly merge with mainstream pop culture. I will cover actors and actresses, directors, ect that i think will make up the industry largely in a separate article And have already highlighted the musicians that I think will be huge in 2024.

Keith Lee

This one was simple, Keith Lee has truly taken over my TikTok fyp, his impact on the food industry is absolutely insane. Keith is making content, changing lives, and talking about food in a way that is relatable, and that really makes the viewer eager to try the business. He is straight to the point, and we know he doesn't play, so if Keith recommends a place, that holds weight.

Career Predictions:

. Bringing his food tour series to a mainstream platform with a big production (think Netflix, Food Network, or something along those lines)

. Partnering with a restaurant to create his own food item

Brittany Broski

For years Brittany Broski has been the bestie, she’s the relatable girl who has been on both sides of fandoms, and that draws people to her. I think over the last year, however, both with The Broksi Report and with the interviews we are seeing from her, like the one above with Irish King Hozier, Brittany’s gone far beyond a humorous relatable voice online and has become one of the most intuitive, personable personalities in the industry.

Career Predictions:

. Having a late-night talk show, think Chelsea Lately-esque

. Releases music (Brittany I beg)

Jake Shane

If you’ve been on the internet over the last year there is no way Jake Shane has not come across your timeline on various platforms. His ability to act out any situation and instantly lighten a room with his humor has really captured the hearts of so many people, including me of course! I truly see Jake Shane being one of the great actors, media personalities of our time, i see him blowing up and being someone that is constantly in the public eye.

Career Prediction:

. Major correspondent at the biggest events, his energy is contagious and is needed in those often high strung situations

. Is cast in a major movie

Amelia Dimoldenberg

If you’ve seen even one episode of Chicken Shop Date you won’t be at all surprised to find Amelia on this list, she’s truly an all around star. Every episode of the show that I watch i’m further amazed at how natural shes able to be both with her guests and the camera, amazed at how she seemingly has chemistry with ever person she’s ever interacted with, it’s a skill really. I see Amelia being one of the staple interviewers for the biggest stars, I see her being on every carpet, and hopefully being able to take Chicken Shop Date to streaming platform.

Career Predictions:

. Andrew Garfield Episode (Finally)

. Chicken Shop Date becomes part of every big celebrities press cycle, much like hot ones

Deanna Giulietti

I am a Broadway girlie through and through, and I truly think Deanna Giulietti is THE next Broadway star. Seeing how effortlessly positive, talented and true to herself Deanna has remained ever since I found her online has only further cemented that prediction for me. She gives me Lindsay Pearce and young Idina vibes.

Career Predictions:

. Originates a role on Broadway

. Comes out with an album with both originals and covers from various Broadway shows

Samyra

One thing I will always champion for is artists who are actually saying something underrepresented, and Samyra is doing just that. With her drive and talent and the way people flock to her on social media there is no doubt in my mind that Samyra has a cemented place in the music industry and within the true body-positivity movement.

We need more people who are willing to call out corporations and not back down, who actually walks the walk.

Career Predictions:

. Collaborates with a big brand on a true inclusive expansion of their plus range

. Releases a full EP or Album

Anna Sitar

Anna Sitar has done something with her platform that i admire so much, and that’s make herself the relatable big sister. It’s a quality that for me has been taken on by creators like Alexa Losey, that ability to give your followers tips and tricks, to let them into your life, it allows the videos to feel more like one on one chats. It’s a beautiful thing, and I think Anna has mastered it. And on top of that, Anna is as fashionable as they come and is already adored by some of the biggest brands, having a huge career in that field feels like it’s a no brainer.

Career Predictions:

. Becomes a fashion IT girl

. Announces a self help/wellness book

. Stars in a film that will premiere at either TIFF or Sundance

Perrie Nemiroff

Perrie is the one personI turn to for any and all film-related news/interviews. I feel like there isn’t a single other person as entangled in the film industry that is asking questions like she is. The guests are always blown away and you can tell they feel so comfortable because it's always automatically apparent how much Perrie cares. I always want people like this to succeed.

I think we are going to see Perrie appear even more during every single press junket for major movies.

Career Predictions:

. Is a mainstay for any and all movie/tv cast press junkets

. Stars a arm-chair expert-esque deep dive podcast really -picking apart movies with their stars

Josh Scherer

Mythical Kitchen as a whole iswell on there way to creating an empire that is separate from being a branch of ‘Mythical’ and being entwined with Rhett and Link (actual icons). However, I think the online presence of Josh Scherer is the stand out of the group. Last Meals is a beyond genius idea, it’s such a perfect environment to get celebrities out of their normal press junket pattern, and allows for some of my favorite conversations with people like Josh Peck (yes I'll take ANY opportunity to bring him up) and of course, Gordon Ramsey (among many others). I think we're going to see Josh absolutely explode onto both the food and the pop culture scene. He is another person i see joining the regular press junket rounds.

Career Predictions:

. Food Network show, im calling it.

. Last Meals join the normal press junket rotation

Drew Afualo

Drew was another no-brainer when crafting this list. It’s rare that the moment I see someone on camera it becomes so incredibly clear that entertaining is what they are meant to do. Drew makes her morals clear, makes her boundaries clear, and takes no bullshit, coming into this industry with those skills in your back pocket is a surefire way to find longevity. I truly am so inspired by the way Drew carries herself and can't wait to see what direction she goes in as we enter into the third month of 2024.

Career Predictions:

. Was going to say that I could see Drew writing a self-help type book and she literally announced one while I was writing this, proof I am psychic

. Talk Show baby!! She’s made for it!

28 Daily Thoughts of College Students

"I want to thank Google, Wikipedia, and whoever else invented copy and paste. Thank you."

I know every college student has daily thoughts throughout their day. Whether you're walking on campus or attending class, we always have thoughts running a mile a minute through our heads. We may be wondering why we even showed up to class because we'd rather be sleeping, or when the professor announces that we have a test and you have an immediate panic attack.

The Great Christmas Movie Debate

"A Christmas Story" is the star on top of the tree.

The Great Christmas Movie Debate
Mental Floss

One staple of the Christmas season is sitting around the television watching a Christmas movie with family and friends. But of the seemingly hundreds of movies, which one is the star on the tree? Some share stories of Santa to children ("Santa Claus Is Coming to Town"), others want to spread the Christmas joy to adults ("It's a Wonderful Life"), and a select few are made to get laughs ("Elf"). All good movies, but merely ornaments on the Christmas tree of the best movies. What tops the tree is a movie that bridges the gap between these three movies, and makes it a great watch for anyone who chooses to watch it. Enter the timeless Christmas classic, "A Christmas Story." Created in 1983, this movie holds the tradition of capturing both young and old eyes for 24 straight hours on its Christmas Day marathon. It gets the most coverage out of all holiday movies, but the sheer amount of times it's on television does not make it the greatest. Why is it,
then? A Christmas Story does not try to tell the tale of a Christmas miracle or use Christmas magic to move the story. What it does do though is tell the real story of Christmas. It is relatable and brings out the unmatched excitement of children on Christmas in everyone who watches. Every one becomes a child again when they watch "A Christmas Story."

Christmas tree

It's the most wonderful time of the year! Christmas is one of my personal favorite holidays because of the Christmas traditions my family upholds generation after generation. After talking to a few of my friends at college, I realized that a lot of them don't really have "Christmas traditions" in their family, and I want to help change that. Here's a list of Christmas traditions that my family does, and anyone can incorporate into their family as well!

It’s here; that time of year when college students turn into preschoolers again. We cry for our mothers, eat everything in sight, and whine when we don’t get our way. It’s finals, the dreaded time of the semester when we all realize we should have been paying attention in class instead of literally doing anything else but that. Everyone has to take them, and yes, unfortunately, they are inevitable. But just because they are here and inevitable does not mean they’re peaches and cream and full of rainbows. Surviving them is a must, and the following five phases are a reality for all majors from business to art, nursing to history.
