Being a woman.
Some unfortunate familiar stigma attaches itself onto that line of "being a woman".
Mostly because we are compared to men which isn't anything new to us.
We are I guess weaker, more emotional, irrational, unreliable and all around not as good.
Then again we women, are inferior.
Aren't we?
We did make it that way, we allowed ourselves to become this way.
We aren't naturally inferior because we do show many ways in which we are better than men like our pain tolerance, our maturity and endurance.
Our status as women is a product of our decisions. We have this false consciousness that we are deficient.
I am in no means blaming the male population or suggesting that they are too menial compared to women. But why are we not equal?
Being powerless is being internalized by our population just like males now believe they cannot show any ounce of femininity without being seen as a woman, which is just awful right? Wrong.
Men too experience all the same emotions as women but fear they cannot show it because of this ideological that seems so natural.
As a woman I want to feel competent, as a human being I need to feel coequal.
