Everyone deals with anxiety differently. Whether it's exercise, medication, meditation, volunteering, there are lots of inexpensive, creative ways to help curb the anxiety. These are some ways I cope with my anxiety.
Arts and Crafts
With Pinterest and many video DIYs available at your fingertips, there's endless possibilities to making art projects, most items being found at Walmart. Sometimes all you need is a little bit of glitter to make things better.
Coloring Books
We've been coloring since we were old enough to hold crayons, and little did we know back then how fun and soothing it was. With adult coloring books topping wish lists, it's wonderful to see adults getting back in touch with their inner child.
Puzzles
Whether it's a 50 piece puzzle or a 500 piece puzzle, jigsaw puzzles brings out a lot of patience and concentrating, instead of concentrating on your anxieties and worries, you're focused on trying to put the pieces together.
Meditation
My dear friend has been introducing me to the magic of meditation and I feel clean afterwards. You feel the world melt around you and it's amazing how simple music and encouraging words can make you feel whole again.
Nail Painting
I'm a nail polish junkie, it's one of my obsessions. From millions of colors and designs to choose from, it's a little thing to help make your appearance feel better. It takes time and patience to painting and drying your nails, giving yourself time to focus and reflect.
Blowing Bubbles
Yet another activity that brings out your inner child. I have a few bottles in my room, and it helps me when I have anxiety and insomnia. The bubbles help your focus and breathing, and let's be real, bubbles are pretty to look at it:)
