Indy's Best Places to Get in the Fall Spirit

Of all of the seasons, fall has the most specific themed activities that come around only once a year. I don't know about you, but I feel like I get so hyped up for the fun seasonal activities, but before I know it I've blinked and winter is here, and I've missed my chance. Well, now I am here to help with this list of festive fall things to do in the Indianapolis area. Go forth and embrace the fleeting joys of warm cider and pumpkin patches before it is too late!

1. Lilly Orchard at Park Tudor School

If you are craving all the wonderful food that fall brings, then this is your place. This neighborhood shop is the mecca for anything your heart desires, from apples to cider to locally crafted pies. Indulge in all of the delicacies of the season while you can, because they only come around once a year.

2. Halloween ZooBoo at the Indianapolis Zoo

Stop by any October weekend from 2-7pm to experience Halloween-themed animal chats, or head to the elephant exhibit to watch the elephants smashing pumpkins to get to their favorite treat! There are activities specifically for kids, but who says you can't embrace your inner child while getting in the Halloween spirit?

3. Stuckey Farm Market and Harvest Festival

There is no better way to get in the fall spirit than a day filled with wagon rides, corn mazes, apple picking and pumpkin patches. Pay only $10 for an all-day pass to all the Harvest Festival has to offer.

4. Historic Irvington Halloween Festival

This week-long Halloween celebration includes a five-mile "vampire run," street fairs, musicians, Halloween-themed movies, contests, ghost tours, a masquerade ball and much more! This is a must-see event for all Halloween lovers.

5. Indy Scream Park Haunted House

If you are someone who just enjoys the fear of this holiday, then this haunted house is for you. Despite being only 30 minutes from downtown, arriving at the Scream Park means becoming surrounded by dense forests and thick cornfields. With a choice of six different attractions, either indoor or outdoor, there is something here for any fear fanatic.

6. Tuttle Orchards

If you are not into all of the frills of fall activities, then head to Tuttle Orchards and enjoy the serenity of their apple orchard and pumpkin patch. Nothing says fall like coming home with a big bag of apples hand-picked with love.

Get outside and embrace the beautiful season while you can, because you will be bundled up inside, hiding from the snow before you know it!

New year, new semester, not the same old thing. This semester will be a semester to redeem all the mistakes made in the previous five months.

1. I will wake up (sorta) on time for class.

Let's face it, last semester you woke up with enough time to brush your teeth and get to class and even then you were about 10 minutes late and rollin' in with some pretty unfortunate bed head. This semester we will set our alarms, wake up with time to get ready, and get to class on time!
