I get excited about the little things that people may find unnecessary, such as my roommate bringing me a slice of cheese pizza after a night, when my boyfriend says cheesy things every girl wants to hear, or when McDonald's introduced all-day breakfast. But, nothing has excited me more than the announcement of The Incredibles 2.
I have been waiting a long 14 years for this day to finally come, and now on June 15th, my dreams will come true.
The directors of the first movie had decided to create a sequel picking up right where the first one left off.
My family and I are huge fans of this movie and we probably reference it at least twice a day—more than the average family should—and it never fails to make us all laugh.
My sister and I never miss a chance to say: "Honey, where is my super suit?" A direct quote from Lucius Best A.K.A. Frozone. It is easily one of the funniest scenes of the whole movie and we will definitely be seeing more of him in the second movie.
My mom loves to quote, "Greater good? I am YOUR WIFE! I am the greatest good you're ever gonna get!" A quote from Lucius' wife, after he asks where she put his super suit. My mom loves to use it against my dad every chance she can get.
And then there is the all-time favorite: "Get yourself together!" From Edna Mode, the famous designer of suits for superheroes. This line applies to many things, especially when in college.
The audience will be introduced to Lucius' wife and will be seeing a lot more of Lucius himself and hopefully Edna as well.
The Incredibles is going to be the best movie of the summer because of how long people have been waiting for this sequel and of all the new aspects of characters and new characters that will be introduced.
My family and I are going to see the movie together and it will definitely be one of the highlights of my summer, as well as every other person my age.
The 90's babies have been waiting years for this movie and it is definitely getting a lot of hype on social media. So to all the parents who want to bring their four and five-year-olds, please wait. We have been waiting 14 years for this movie to come out and we need our "Incredibles" fix.
