Now, with a few winning football games behind us, everyone is continuously excited for all of the orange and blue that will be seen around the campus! If it’s your first year at UF or you’re just looking to up your game day wardrobe, here are some cute ideas to make your look memorable and Instagram-worthy.
Sundresses and Cowboy Boots: This is always a classic go-to game day style. Sundresses are so versatile and cute to wear, especially in the Florida heat of game days. Many stores carry these colors especially around the fall semester and you can find styles such as halter, cut-outs, strapless, and lace sundresses. Cowboy boots are also a great (and practical) staple for game days. They look adorable, are a football classic and save your feet when you're walking through any location with a million people everywhere.
High-Waisted Skirts and Crop Tops: Skater Skirts and crop tops will never go out of style as far as I'm concerned. They are so easy to mix and match in a variety of prints and colors. Crop tops are easily wearable in different styles as well. A white skater skirt is an amazing wardrobe staple because it literally matches any crop top that you pair it with. This is a good go-to if it's very hot outside and you want to stay cool throughout the day's warm temperatures.
Oversized Football Jerseys: Looking to be comfortable and cute? The great thing about football jerseys is that they are usually humungous to begin with! They make great dresses on game days. Pair them with a pair of fringed boots, curl your hair, and put on a pair of aviator sunglasses and you're good to go.
Rompers and cute flats: One of the cutest and most fashion forward game day looks you are likely to see will be a printed romper and adorable flats or gladiator-style sandals.
Jewelry and Monograms: I once saw a quote that said, "If you're a Southern woman the urge to monogram everything you own comes as natural as a Southern man's urge to kill anything with fur or feathers." This quote definitely rings true to how I feel about monograms. I would monogram absolutely anything if it were possible. Monogrammed jewelry goes perfectly with game day outfits. There are so many websites where you can order monogram necklaces, bracelets, and rings that are printed on whichever color you want. I wear a monogrammed orange necklace to every football game. Jewelry is definitely a way to glam up the simplest of outfits.
Cute Backpack or Crossbody of Essentials: Tailgating and going to a football game in the Florida heat is an accomplishment in itself. If you want to still be photo ready at the end of the day, here are some essentials you should pack in your bag for your day of tailgating: a mini brush, extra hair accessories for when the heat makes your hair go out of hand, tube of lipstick, blotter cloths, and your anorak in case of rain.
Even if you are a style guru, I am sure that there's something in your own game day wardrobe that you're looking to improve! If not, try something out from this list and I'm sure you'll be pleased with the results!
