So we’ve all heard the trash talk towards Jersey. BUT, those of us who hail from the glorious state know better. Though there is some inner conflict between North, South and the debated Central Jersey, we all know we’re living in a pretty sweet spot. So below are some of the greatest things the rest of the country ignores about the supposed armpit of the United States.

1. Variety of Food

Italian, Indian, Japanese, Mediterranean, and so many more can be found around the state; every food trend from Sushi Burritos to Smoothie Bowls can be found without crossing the border.

2. City Access

Close to New York City, Philadelphia and DC means we’ve got our pick of museums and concert venues for exciting day trips in every concrete jungles.

3. The Sports Stadiums

Not only does New Jersey house their own sports teams but many of New York's favorite teams have their stadiums and training facilities here as well, so Jersey is home to a variety of beloved teams from the NJ Devils to the NY Giants.

4. Shopping

Amazing malls and cute boutiques to fit any style, we know what Black Friday shopping means and only the brave venture out on Thanksgiving to risk their lives and credit cards.

5. Nature

The Garden State lives up to its name; with plenty of farms to buy local, plenty of mountains to go hiking up and river walks to go on.

6. The Beaches

With a wide variety of beaches ranging up and down the coast, there’s one for every vacation you’d want, from crazy girls weekend, to family vacation to uppity summer homes.

7. Rides and Adventure

Six Flags, boardwalks and carnivals as the warm weather comes there are plenty of thrills to seek, each having their fair share of fried and delicious food to go with it.

8. Weird NJ

For those looking for more than a quick thrill, immerse yourself in the dark lore of the state, and see if you can see the ghost after driving thrice around the bell tower or test your luck if your car will run reverse up the cursed hill.

I went to a small high school, like 120-people-in-my-graduating-class small. It definitely had some good and some bad, and if you also went to a small high school, I’m sure you’ll relate to the things that I went through.

Who hooked up with whom at the party? Yeah, heard about that an hour after it happened. You failed a test? Sorry, saw on Twitter last period. Facebook fight or, God forbid, real fight? It was on half the class’ Snapchat story half an hour ago. No matter what you do, someone will know about it.

Chandler Bing

I'm assuming that we've all heard of the hit 90's TV series, Friends, right? Who hasn't? Admittedly, I had pretty low expectations when I first started binge watching the show on Netflix, but I quickly became addicted.

Without a doubt, Chandler Bing is the most relatable character, and there isn't an episode where I don't find myself thinking, Yup, Iam definitely the Chandler of my friend group.

1. When a customer wants to return a product, hands you the receipt, where is printed "ALL SALES ARE FINAL" in all caps.

2. Just because you might be having a bad day, and you're in a crappy mood, doesn't make it okay for you to yell at me or be rude to me. I'm a person with feelings, just like you.

3. People refusing to be put on hold when a customer is standing right in front of you. Oh, how I wish I could just hang up on you!
