I think I speak for most people who wear binders when I say it's a love/hate relationship between a person and their binder. The ability to bind safely and get a desired look is a relieving experience, but that doesn't mean it's a totally carefree one. Binders can give their fair share of problems at times: from getting stuck on your head, to making it nearly impossible to wear tank tops, and to being just plain painful at times. One of the toughest things about binders is trying to figure out where the hell to get one!

Unfortunately, we aren't yet in the days when you can waltz into your local WalMart and purchase a binder in-store. While there are multiple petitions out there to get such a thing started, currently the only options available for purchasing a binder are online. If you have access to the Internet and a credit card, your journey for the perfect binder may be shorter than you think. Even if you don't have access to these things, don't give up just yet! There are some organizations and individuals that regularly give binders away to those in need. I searched the web and compiled this list of places I found where you can obtain a safe binder. I also included any relevant information on price, shipping, and what is needed. Hopefully, this helps someone out there get the binder of their dreams!

Note: Since I am in the U.S., all information I include on price is in U.S. dollars. You can click here to convert these numbers to your own currency.

Disclaimer: While there are many other companies to purchase a binder from, I only included those that I personally knew or could find proof insisting they are safe to use. This does not mean that all other binder companies are unsafe. Rather, it means that I did not feel comfortable including other companies due to lack of or negative information found.

With that being said, I simply did Internet research to compile this information, and cannot guarantee all research to be 100% correct. I also cannot personally vouch for the quality, safety, or other guarantees of these binders. I am sharing my opinion on any of these companies, organizations, or individuals listed above. I highly encourage you to do your own research and contact the above companies, organizations, or individuals to ensure they can provide what you are looking for. The information above is subject to change at any time.

7 Ways to Make Your Language More Transgender and Nonbinary Inclusive

With more people becoming aware of transgender and non-binary people, there have been a lot of questions circulating online and elsewhere about how to be more inclusive. Language is very important in making a space safer for trans and non-binary individuals. With language, there is an established and built-in measure of whether a place could be safe or unsafe. If the wrong language is used, the place is unsafe and shows a lack of education on trans and non-binary issues. With the right language and education, there can be more safe spaces for trans and non-binary people to exist without feeling the need to hide their identities or feel threatened for merely existing.

Cambio

Singing is something I do all day, every day. It doesn't matter where I am or who's around. If I feel like singing, I'm going to. It's probably annoying sometimes, but I don't care -- I love to sing! If I'm not singing, I'm probably humming, sometimes without even realizing it. So as someone who loves to sing, these are some of the feelings and thoughts I have probably almost every day.
