I want to steer clear of “opportunities" and focus on dreams.
As young adults, we get stuck on the idea that we need to continue on a step-by-step path in order to be successful. On this path, there are many opportunities which we may or may not feel obligated to take even if it's not something we don't really need or want to do. However, our dreams are things we have to search for. Dreams are entirely determined and discovered by the dreamer. Opportunities are things that may fall in to your lap without you even trying. Don't get stuck in the land of opportunity if you only forget about your dreams. Damn, Kanye, you have your shit together.
be patient be kinddd be funny
Excellent advice. A simple idea, but easily forgotten. We live in a very fast and transactional world. Remember to slow down once in a while. Enjoy the moment — every part of it. Enjoy the people. Enjoy the laughs. Don't be too busy to be kind and don't take life too seriously. Who knew Ariana Grande can do more than be fabulous and hit high notes?
I eat my weight in hummus daily.
Hummus is good, but in this sentence you could copy and paste just about anything that you enjoy to excess. Rainn knows that life is too short to miss out on your favorite things. If your guilty pleasure is not getting in the way of your ability to function as a normal human being, you're probably okay to have your third diet coke today.
It's #EarthDay! Take a minute to appreciate the world around you. Pet a squirrel. Scatter sunflower seeds around your home. Wash a tree.
While #EarthDay is gone and passed, nature is pretty awesome and also extremely necessary. You don't need to scatter sunflower seeds around your home, but maybe try not to litter. Take a walk and appreciate fresh air. Remember to enjoy and take good care of wherever you are. Thanks for the laughable reminder, Ellen!
I thought I saw my ex but it turned out to be a raccoon eating out of a dumpster.
I don't know how this is relevant or helpful to anyone's life in any way. However, if I were going to make this a significant part of this, I would say that Dane Cook is trying to remind you not to date people that resemble a raccoon eating from a dumpster.
