Immunizations

Without protection to some fatal diseases, the whole population would have died by now. The virus would multiply and be replaced by a newer kind.

How to Get Immunization

Although we become immune to certain diseases like the flu on our own, other deadly viruses can cause life-threatening outcomes in our body which we may never recover from.

Hereโ€™s how some of the vaccines are made as per the category of virus they fall in:

  • Nucleic Acid Vaccines - Fairly new as they enable the body to create antibodies using the genetic instructions being provided.
  • Whole Pathogen vaccines โ€“ For this, the pathogen is used in order to attain immunization against the disease.
  • Viral Vectored Vaccines โ€“ Genetic codes are passed on to create antibodies. However, non-deadly viruses are used to achieve this.
  • Subunit Vaccines โ€“ As an alternative to the pathogen, the antigens are used to gain immunity.

birthday party

My birthday has never been my favorite holiday. I've found that I'm more excited to celebrate my friends' and family members' birthdays more than my own. In the past when I've had large parties, I was so nervous that people weren't perfectly content that I didn't enjoy myself at my own celebration.

It seems like coming back from winter break wouldn't really be a break all things considered, since we all come back to school and pick up right where we left off. We know exactly what to expect, yet we're unprepared every single time.

I'm serious

There are tons of unisex names that are popular: Taylor, Alex, Bailey, etc. There are also numerous names that are used for both sexes, but theyโ€™re not seen as โ€œunisexโ€ yet. People are slowly becoming accustomed to the dual use of these names, but for the most part, in their minds they associate certain names with certain sexes. And that leaves those of us with these names in many awkward situations.

I'm an anthropology major, and I love every minute of it. I couldn't tell you why, but I guess there's just something about studying different lifestyles that absolutely fascinates me. But anthropology majors definitely have our weird sides, especially when you go to a school that is filled with mostly Business and Bio majors. But us weirdos definitely have a lot in common, specifically these 16 things.

pale girl

Everyone has insecurities, that's just a fact. You didn't ask to be born this way. You didn't ask to inherit the one trait no one else in your family has. And you definitely didn't ask to be this ghostly white. But as soon as you've learned to live with it for a while (less wrinkles later on in life, right? right???) someone has to ruin it for you. They have to flaunt they're perfectly tanned body from Spring Break and hold their sun-kissed skin against yours. But I've had enough... here are the things that perpetually pale individuals are tired of hearing.
