imagine being me

Imagine

Imagine walking around and feeling everyone's feelings at once.. a constant state of filtering what is your own and what is coming in.. imagine seeing someone's pain in their eyes, to see their soul and feel the depths of their heart.. imagine that you can help, but you're a stranger and they don't trust that you're genuinely sincere... others are too afraid to trust you enough to help.. and others flat out refuse.. imagine always wondering about others and how you can help them.. being pushed by a force that compels you to give them a piece of yourself to heal what they've lost..to help those who dont always deserve it.. to help even those who you dont necessarily enjoy being around, simply because they need it...imagine having to watch people dim their light because no one has ever recognized their uniqueness and let them know how great it is... to watch people pull back who they are out of fear of un-acceptance..imagine being charged with the task to undo the insecurity brought on by selfish people...to give love unconditionally, even when it's not returned and heal wounds that dont belong to you.. to watch people lose eachother as a result of misunderstandings and misinterpretation because they do not listen to understand.. to hear what people dont say out loud, but cant always tell those people that you can hear them, so they walk around yearning to be heard but no words to speak.. imagine not being able to tell the invisibles that you can see them... imagine having to silence yourself because it's rare someone listens... imagine being the person that helps everyone but that no one thinks needs help.. to be a source of strength for others even when you are weak... to be assumed to be okay because you dont show your pain.. to be passionate about everything you put your energy into.. but have that same passion taken as aggression because a different set of standards are placed on you due to your physical appearance...to long for understanding by the people around you, while accepting that they simply can't because you dwell outside the box they live in... to be alone, but the glue that keeps others together... imagine being able to change lives with your words.. and being a mirror for the ones that have forgotten what's inside of them.. to always see the best, even in the worst.. to forgive without an apology.. to understand without explanation... imagine feeling the physical pain of the ones closest to you.. to have to distance yourself from them because the feelings can be overwhelming.. imagine being as bright as the sun, yet invisible.. imagine knowing the answer, but hoping you were wrong.. imagine knowing things you've never experienced but cant explain how.. to give answers but not able to show your work.. to be doubted and questioned because they dont believe you can exist, even when you're standing side by side... imagine knowing you're supposed to change the world but have no idea where to start or what to do.. imagine always feeling as if what you gave wasn't enough.. imagine being me, it's likely to drive you crazy...

Bob's Burgers
Adult Swim

Bob's Burgers is arguably one of the best and most well-written shows on tv today. That, and it's just plain hilarious. From Louise's crazy antics to Tina's deadpan self-confidence, whether they are planning ways to take over school or craft better burgers, the Belchers know how to have fun. They may not be anywhere close to organized or put together, but they do offer up some wise words once and awhile.

We're in college, none of us actually have anything together. In fact, not having anything together is one of our biggest stressors. However, there's a few little things that we do ever so often that actually make us feel like we have our lives together.

1. Making yourself dinner

And no this does not include ramen or Annie's Mac & Cheese. Making a decent meal for yourself is one of the most adult things you can do living on campus. And the food is much better than it would be at the dining hall.

I think the hardest thing about going away to college is figuring out how to become an adult. Leaving a household where your parents took care of literally everything (thanks, Mom!) and suddenly becoming your own boss is overwhelming. I feel like I'm doing a pretty good job of being a grown-up, but once in awhile I do something that really makes me feel like I'm #adulting. Twenty-somethings know what I'm talking about.

I went to a small high school, like 120-people-in-my-graduating-class small. It definitely had some good and some bad, and if you also went to a small high school, I’m sure you’ll relate to the things that I went through.

1. If something happens, everyone knows about it

Who hooked up with whom at the party? Yeah, heard about that an hour after it happened. You failed a test? Sorry, saw on Twitter last period. Facebook fight or, God forbid, real fight? It was on half the class’ Snapchat story half an hour ago. No matter what you do, someone will know about it.

Chandler Bing

I'm assuming that we've all heard of the hit 90's TV series, Friends, right? Who hasn't? Admittedly, I had pretty low expectations when I first started binge watching the show on Netflix, but I quickly became addicted.

Without a doubt, Chandler Bing is the most relatable character, and there isn't an episode where I don't find myself thinking, Yup, Iam definitely the Chandler of my friend group.
