In this day and age, everything is so fast paced.
Everyone wants everything in the blink of an eye, we all know everything about each others' lives, and we all post about our own like everyone cares.
Sometimes I feel trapped and suffocated by all the noise, and I wonder if other people do, too.
Social media is both a blessing and a curse, and recently it's been more of a curse.
I'm getting to the point where I LITERALLY DON'T CARE ABOUT WHAT YOU'RE DOING.
Everyone posts about their every move and it's tiring to be in the middle of it.
You could say that it would be easier to just delete it all, but it's not that simple when you literally work on social media.
I have been reflecting a lot on relationship of this day, and I'm honestly disgusted.
I'm in college and the hookup culture is real, but part of it is exacerbated by social media. People stalk their partner's location, they check the last time they were active, and they feel the need to constantly be texting them.
There is no patience, no trust, and less fun in relationships because we are so desensitized to the chaos that it dating nowadays.
Lastly, I feel like everything is amplified. People pick out their outfits for the next weekend before the first one is over because they want their instagram to look amazing.
Others seem to think it is okay it insert themselves in my life because they think they know everything about it since they follow me on social media. You can't get a hold of me through text?
So you feel the need to instagram, facebook and twitter message me until I answer. Maybe I just don't want to talk. Social media is giving us a false sense of closeness where it doesn't exist.
Needless to say, I'm freaking tired of it. I want to go back to being five and riding my bike for fun.
