Being An Adult Is Stressful

Why does it have to be this way?

I started noticing how stressful school can really be. I am also someone who easily gets stress and gets really down when things don’t go right. I want things to constantly be right. I want my life to constantly be in the right direction and pushing myself to do things I have never done before. Pushing myself outside of my comfort zone can be stressful but also a pleasure.

I have noticed changes in my health because of my stress levels. I have noticed changes in my eating habit as well as loosing hair at a higher rate than normal. I started gaining weight as well as loosing weight dramatically. I started staying in and stopped hanging out with friends because I felt stressed constantly and my stress levels raised when I went out.

Now that it is summer and I have more time, I have been able to relax and only worry about my writing. I bought a adult stress coloring book. This coloring book has made me feel so much better. I bought this coloring book one day ago and I already feel better in general. Granted, my finals just ended so I definitely do not feel as stressed as I normally would. But the fact that something as simple as a coloring book could help me relieve some stress.

If you’re stressed out, I highly suggest that you buy an adult coloring book because it can release some stress for you.

If coloring isn’t your thing, I would suggest things like exercise, lighting candles, reduce caffeine intake, write about your problems, yoga, cuddle, listen to soothing music, deep breathing and spend time with loved ones or even pets.

New year, new semester, not the same old thing. This semester will be a semester to redeem all the mistakes made in the previous five months.

1. I will wake up (sorta) on time for class.

Let's face it, last semester you woke up with enough time to brush your teeth and get to class and even then you were about 10 minutes late and rollin' in with some pretty unfortunate bed head. This semester we will set our alarms, wake up with time to get ready, and get to class on time!

And so it begins.

1. Walk in motivated and ready to rock

Camping out at the library is not for the faint of heart. You need to go in as a warrior. You usually have brought supplies (laptop, chargers, and textbooks) and sustenance (water, snacks, and blanket/sweatpants) since the battle will be for an undetermined length of time. Perhaps it is one assignment or perhaps it's four. You are motivated and prepared; you don’t doubt the assignment(s) will take time, but you know it couldn’t be that long.
