Dear Hillary Clinton

I'm not with you

As we all sit around watching the TV waiting for all of the votes to come in and polls to close most of us are filled with anxiety about who will be our next president. A liar or an arrogant millionaire. For the past seventeen months we watched these two candidates go after each other trying to give us a reason to vote for them. We have also watched each other on social media be little one another for who we wanted as the next president. I don't really care who votes for who and I won't try to convince you to vote for who I want to vote for because that's not how it should be. I'm just truly ready for this to be over with so I can go back to looking at my social media and not see Hillary or Donald every time.

When I was little I honestly thought I would be excited to do certain adult things but I'm not excited to vote. I'm not registered and I chose to sit this election out for my own reasons. A lot of people are gonna think or say ''You're not doing your civil duties'' well you're right but you're not the government or my family so it's not your place to tell me what my duties are. When America actually gives me candidates that are worth it then I will consider it. Until then I will just sit here and continue to watch everyone argue about it.

Now I'm not a Hillary supporter at all, but I'm not thrilled about Donald Trump either. I mean I'm glad he's not a lying murder who deletes thousands of private emails but he's still no saint. I just want anyone in office but Hillary. So as I'm sitting here watching the election night and the polls closing in each state Donald is doing good but I know Hillary isn't far behind. There are still some big states that still need to finish such as California, Florida, and the northwest. It's giving me and the rest of America some major anxiety.

Watching Snapchat stories and seeing the hashtag #ImWithHer for Hilary I just wanted to take the time to let her know that I'm not with her. I will never be with her and to pick out of the two I will never pick her. To become the first female president is an amazing achievement but I wish it was someone other than you. You do have political experience but it's not good. You let four American's die when they called you for help but I'm sure you weren't the only one they called. You also got away with deleting emails that contained private information. If anyone else did that they would be in a lot of trouble but not you. I'm not sure how you got this far without getting in trouble but justice will be served especially for Benghazi and the families who were affected by that. You are not a role model for little girls and I do not want you representing my children. I'm not with you Hillary Clinton.

Whoever wins this election we still need to remember that no matter what and no matter who you believe in this world is still corrupt and it still needs help. Whether you believe in Jesus or not we still need to pray for this country. God bless.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
