Look I'm all for people doing their thing. If you want to go live it up at a club, go for it! Just don't invite me because I'll say no. I used to go to a "club" all the time in high school. I say "club" because it was 18+ and really a rave but now it's just not my thing. Which is kind of a bummer because every college movie ever makes clubs seem like the "it" thing to be doing.
But honestly, I'd rather just sit on a couch and chat while playing cards. Clubbing feels like a hassle now and one I'm not willing to put myself through. The idea of dressing up and dancing to good music sounds great, it's just all the other things clubbing requires that turn me off.
First, there's all the money you spend paying to park, paying to Uber to avoid that problem, paying to get in, paying way too much for drinks. Then there's all the people which makes the club crowded and hot. Plus you can't talk to your friends at clubs, in order to be heard you would have to yell at them. Which does not sounds like a good time.
I don't really know when I turned into a Gramma who prefers to wrap myself in a blanket and play those card games I mentioned earlier but hey, I guess this is me now.
Clubbing has just lost its appeal. And that's not the worst thing. While I will miss becoming best friends with drunk girls in the bathroom, you can catch me at home on a Saturday night.
