Why It's Still OK To Watch Children's Shows When You're In College

If you're like me, you may have a heavy workload between classes, homework, clubs, and other commitments. After a while, all this work can make it feel like your head is going to explode.

With all of these things being on my mind the entire day, when I come home and watch something on Netflix or YouTube, I don't always want something that makes me think even more.

So then, is it so bad if I watch shows that I loved as a kid? That's right—I'm a 19-year-old college sophomore who still watches the shows I watched as a 6 year old. You might think it's weird, but I don't really care.

Look, the way I see it, I work hard all week long: emailing people, talking with teachers, planning events, doing homework, running to classes, going to clubs—the list goes on. So if I want to watch "Thomas & Friends" where I don't have to worry about keeping up with a dramatic storyline or just watch Scooby-freakin-Doo bust some bad guys in masks then I will! I need some kind of entertainment that's easy to follow because my brain literally cannot handle any more information, and if I try to shove any more in my head might start doing this.

Also I'm pretty sure I'm not the only one to do stuff like this. If you are reading this right now and thinking to yourself that you've never looked up an old episode of one of your Cartoon Network faves, then have fun sleeping tonight knowing you lied to yourself.

I think what I'm really trying to say here is we all have a lot of work to do each day and sometimes we just need to relax and not think about a single thing in the world. Everyone has their own way of relaxing and vegging out. Some people get high, some people eat a lot of food, and some do both simultaneously. The point is, no matter what you choose to do to forget about the world and all the crap you have to do tomorrow or next week, just make sure it makes you happy.

If someone happens to make fun of the relaxation outlet you choose you're advised to slap them and maybe tell them to go find something that makes them happy because they obviously are missing something in their lives and need to ruin your fun. And if they get mad, just remind them...

Now that Halloween is over, it's time to focus on the Holiday Season. Don't get me wrong, I think Thanksgiving is great and can't wait for it, but nothing gives me greater joy than watching Freeform's 25 Days of Christmas, lighting peppermint scented candles, decking the halls, and baking gingerbread cookies. 6 Signs You Are An English Major

There are various stereotypes about college students, most of which revolve around the concept of your major. Unfortunately, we often let stereotypes precede our own judgments, and we take what information is immediately available to us rather than forming our own opinions after considerable reflection. If I got a dollar for every time my friends have made a joke about my major I could pay my tuition. One stereotype on campus is the sensitive, overly critical and rigid English major. Here are six telltale signs you are one of them.

When you were little, your parents probably told you television makes your brain rot so you wouldn't watch it for twelve straight hours. However, I feel we can learn some pretty valuable stuff from television shows. "The Office," while a comedy, has some pretty teachable moments thrown in there. You may not know how to react in a situation where a co-worker does something crazy (like put your office supplies in jello) but thanks to "The Office," now you'll have an idea how to behave ifsomething like that should happen.

Here are just a few of the things that religious Office watchers can expect to learn.
