I seriously love art school. I really could not be happier. I love everything about art school; the classes, my peers, my teachers and all the craziness that piled on with it. I wouldn't trade my experiences in art school for anything in the world. It has been some of the greatest times of my life. I really couldn't image my life with out art school.

1. My Peers.

Art school is filled with awesome artists. Each and every single one of us love art in our own way. There is nothing better than being surrounded by artists everyday inspiring you to be the best you can be. There is nothing better than being surrounded by artists everyday that push you to be the best you can be. You are always around people who can carry a conversation about color or fonts. Beyond the school walls these amazing peers will end up becoming your best friends and completely understand you for you. Those friends will always be there for you no matter how rough things get in art school. They will be right there with coffee and donuts to help you during finals weeks. I have met the greatest friend who I will always be able to count on.

2. My Teachers.

I have been blessed with outstanding instructors while I have been in art school. Each and one of my teachers I have had has helped me so much to become the best artist/designer I can be. Nothing can replace the countless hours spent on one project but having a good instructor who can get you there will be much, much easier. They will guide you to better than you will ever expect. They know the true potential that you will never see. They will push you until you can do anymore but they want you to keep going because enough is never enough. Anyone that is in art school connect with your instructors. Seriously, suck in everything they teach you. Steal their secrets. And remember everything they tell you. In the end you will be glad they pushed you so hard to become a successful artist.

3. The Diversity.

From the classes to the students to the teachers there is so much diversity here. No class is the same. No student is the same. No teacher is the same. No day is ever the same. I am really benefitting from all the diversity that I am around everyday. One teacher might like your project but the next might hate it. I have been more opened minded since I have been in art school. I have learned so much about art and design. I don't think if I would have went to another school I would not be the artist I am today.

4. The Classes.

I love art school. I know it is kind of werid to like school and classes in general. But I honestly love my classes I have had to take while I have been in art school. They are so different from what I was used to. I get to do sometime I love and learn more and more about art and design. Don't get me wrong I might be annoyed at some parts trust me but at the end of the class I have a great piece or pieces of art that I get to call my own.

5. The Deadlines.

As much as everyone hate them I find them to be awesome. Deadlines are our friends, even though every one complains about them. Deadlines will help get your butt into gear to get a project done instead of procrastinating. Having deadlines have helped me learn how to mange my time and work a lot no matter what it takes. Deadlines force you to work and keep working. If you make it in the art and design world you are going to have a lot more deadlines.

All and all I really enjoy being in art school. I don't think I could have picked a better school for myself. And hands down this has been the best decision of my whole life.

As college students, we are all familiar with the horror show that is course registration week. Whether you are an incoming freshman or selecting classes for your last semester, I am certain that you can relate to how traumatic this can be.

1. When course schedules are released and you have a conflict between two required classes.

Raising the minimum wage to a livable wage would not only benefit workers and their families, it would also have positive impacts on the economy and society. Studies have shown that by increasing the minimum wage, poverty and inequality can be reduced by enabling workers to meet their basic needs and reducing income disparities.

I come from a low-income family. A family, like many others in the United States, which has lived paycheck to paycheck. My family and other families in my community have been trying to make ends meet by living on the minimum wage. We are proof that it doesn't work.

April Ludgate

Every college student knows and understands the struggle of forcing themselves to continue to care about school. Between the piles of homework, the hours of studying and the painfully long lectures, the desire to dropout is something that is constantly weighing on each and every one of us, but the glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel helps to keep us motivated. While we are somehow managing to stay enrolled and (semi) alert, that does not mean that our inner-demons aren't telling us otherwise, and who is better to explain inner-demons than the beloved April Ludgate herself? Because of her dark-spirit and lack of filter, April has successfully been able to describe the emotional roller-coaster that is college on at least 13 different occasions and here they are.
