If The Cast Members Of 'One Tree Hill' Were In Fraternities And Sororities

"One Tree Hill" was one of the best TV dramas of all time. It is hard not to become attached to the characters and reflect on how they have changed over the course of the show. I am currently suffering from post-finishing "One Tree Hill" disorder, so why not fantasize about what Greek house each cast member would be in?

Peyton Sawyer - Zeta Tau Alpha

Peyton is known as the “damsel in distress,” which makes her perfect to wear the ZTA crown. The motto of ZTA is “Seek the Noblest.” Peyton is always looking for the best in everyone and everything in her life. Zeta Tau Alpha’s national philanthropy is breast cancer awareness, which is what Peyton’s mother, Ellie, died from. Peyton would serve as the best music chairman because she is always keeping up with the latest music. Not only is Peyton talented but she is classy, just like your favorite ZTA ladies.

Brooke Davis - Delta Delta Delta

During her high school years, Brooke was wild and crazy. Like the lovely ladies of Tri- Delta’s symbol of a pearl, Brooke grew from a grain of sand into a beautiful pearl. She grew up into a strong woman who believes in herself and others. She would constantly rep the Tri-Delta motto of “Let Us Steadfastly Love One Another.” In later seasons, Brooke becomes an incredible mother to beautiful twin boys. She loves kids, and that’s why Tri-Delta’s philanthropy of St. Jude would be her passion. She would plan some killer philanthropy events making clothes to send to kids at St. Jude.

Haley James Scott - Alpha Chi Omega

Alpha Chi’s motto of “Real. Strong. Women.” is what Haley James Scott is all about. From day one, Haley has been the realest of all of the characters in "One Tree Hill." It’s the realness that Haley portrayed that made Nathan fall in love with her. The symbol of Alpha Chi is a lyre, which would be perfectly suits Haley’s love of music. Like any Alpha Chi girl, Haley is so loving and loveable. She would be the best new member educator welcoming all of the new mem’s to the awesome sisterhood of Alpha Chi.

Quinn James - Delta Gamma

Quinn is one of my favorite characters because she is simple. She is uncomplicated and strong. This is why Delta Gamma would be a perfect fit for Quinn. With their motto of “Do Good,” Quinn would live it out in her everyday life because she is always doing good things to better the lives of the people she loves. With her loving and childish spirit, she would contribute to the Delta Gamma foundation, Service for Sight. As we all know, Quinn is a photographer and loves taking shots of real life moments. She would be awesome as a PR chairman for Delta Gamma by taking pictures at all of the events and putting them on her chapter’s Tumblr and website.

Alex Dupree - Gamma Phi Beta

Alex Dupree was one of the most challenging characters to place. Gamma Phi Beta’s national philanthropy is Building Strong Girls. At the beginning of "One Tree Hill," Alex is lost and trying to find her way in the world. Through a series of events, she becomes a stronger person and a phenomenal friend. Alex Dupree would always win supportive sister of the week because she would always be there for her sisters night and day. Not to mention, Alex is a girly girl and would always be rockin’ the Gamma Phi colors of brown and pink all over campus.

Karen Roe - Alpha Phi

This was a no brainer. Alpha Phi’s philanthropy is the Alpha Phi Foundation, a foundation that is dedicated to advancing leadership development, encouraging academic excellence, improving women's heart health, supporting sisters in need and educating about the value of philanthropy. Each year, the foundation awards the Heart to Heart Cardiac Care grant to an organization focused on women's cardiac research. Throughout all of "One Tree Hill," Karen is always there for Haley, Brooke and Payton. She became a mother too young and is devoted to making Lucas’s life the best it can be. Karen would be so passionate for philanthropy because Lucas has a heart condition. It is not only apparent Karen would be an Alpha Phi for the values and philanthropy but the symbols fit her perfectly as well. The fraternity flowers are the fragrant Lily of the Valley and the blue and gold forget-me-not. Lily is Karen’s daughter’s name. She is basically the perfect embodiment of Alpha Phi.

Millicent Huxtable - Pi Beta Phi

Better known as Millie, she is one of the most loyal characters in "One Tree Hill." She starts out as just being Brooke’s assistant but quickly becomes a fast friend. Like most Pi Phi women, she is smart, driven and loyal. She loves to see her friends thrive and is humble in her triumphs. One of Pi Phi’s core values is personal and intellectual growth. Millie grows immensely throughout the series. At first she is shy and timid, and then becomes strong and independent. She falls off of her path sometimes but always finds her way back. Another core value of Pi Beta Phi is sincere friendship. Millie is always there for her friends and they are always there for her. She genuinely cares about the people around her and wants the best for them. Millie would be the best VP of recruitment and attract so many PNM’s with her love for Pi Phi and for life.

Lucas Scott - Sigma Nu

Lucas Scott. The "One Tree Hill" heartthrob. Not only was he dreamy, but he was a total gentleman like the men of Sigma Nu. The mission of Sigma Nu is to develop leaders with the principles of love, honor and truth. The reason we all love Lucas so much is because he’s the shy guy turned popular but that popularity didn’t change him. He stayed truthful to himself and the people that loved him all along. Lucas is always putting the people he loves before himself. As a brother of Sigma Nu, Lucas would be passionate about their main philanthropic partner, the American Heart Association. Lucas would be the best internal philanthropy chair, organizing fun events to benefit the cause that has had a huge impact on his life.

Nathan Scott - Pi Kappa Phi

Nathan is the bad boy turned good and that is why we all love him. He is loyal to Haley, energetic, passionate and caring. Pi Kappa Phi stresses that all of their brothers are natural leaders or striving to be leaders. Early on in "One Tree Hill," Nathan is a leader but in all the wrong ways. He transforms into a leader that people can trust. He becomes a leader in his school through basketball and then later on in life to his family. Pi Kappa Phi’s philanthropy is The Ability Experience. Nathan had a lot of setbacks when he was paralyzed, and that’s why he would be so passionate about Pi Kappa Phi’s philanthropy. The Ability Experience is a foundation that works with people who have disabilities. Nathan probably would be intramural chairman because he’s all about sports, but he would be the first to sign up for every event because he loves Pi Kappa Phi so much.

Julian Baker - Sigma Chi

Sigma Chi’s values are friendship, justice and learning. Julian Baker is a true gentleman to everyone he meets. He is always working to promote justice and he sticks up for what is right. He is devoted to learning not only academically but emotionally through his experiences while he lives in Tree Hill. He makes every girl swoon with his politeness and dreamy looks which is why he is a total Sig Chi. Julian would be a great social media chair and would make sure Sigma Chi was the most well-known fraternity on campus. Julian would be all over Derby Days, the Sigma Chi philanthropy event for the Huntsman Cancer Foundation, and would participate in a lot of the events with his brothers. Julian doesn’t have any siblings so he would be heavily involved in Sigma Chi and make the most of being a brother.

Marvin McFadden - Sigma Pi

We all love Marvin McFadden, better known as Mouth. He is always the voice of reason when situations get tough. He has a good head on his shoulders and makes choices based on what is right and good even if it is hard. Sigma Pi’s national philanthropy is the Sean Vernon Feliciano Amazing Day Foundation. This philanthropy strives to reduce suicide on college campuses and nationwide. We will never forget when one of Mouth’s close friends, Jimmy, took his own life in Tree Hill High School. Mouth would be very passionate about this philanthropy because he has been personally affected by it. He would serve as an awesome president for Sigma Pi. He is passionate, caring and energetic. He would be a great representation of any Sigma Pi chapter.

Clay Evans - Delta Chi

Clay is one of the most lovable characters in "One Tree Hill." One of Delta Chi’s main values is promoting friendship. He’s beside Nathan through thick and thin and is a fierce friend. Clay would be very passionate about Delta Chi’s national philanthropy, the V Foundation. It was named in honor of former basketball coach and cancer victim Jim Valvan. Being a sports guy, Clay would love planning philanthropy events and would be an expert on all things Jimmy V. Clay would be a great vice president of philanthropy and would host awesome events with his girlfriend Quinn’s sorority Delta Gamma. They would be the Greek King and Queen of Tree Hill.

Antoine Taylor - Sigma Alpha Epsilon

Antoine, better known as Skillz, is a happy-go-lucky kind of guy. He is always cracking jokes on the river court with all of his friends. Sig Ep’s motto is “Building Better Men,” which is what Skillz is all about. He played at the river court with his friends and then moved up to play for Tree Hill’s basketball team. He then went on to play in college and eventually came back to coach at Tree Hill. When he was a coach, he was devoted to his players and making them better athletes, students and men. Skillz is also a phenomenal role model to Jamie and is always looking out for him like an older brother. It would be no question that Skillz would be heavily involved in Sig Ep’s philanthropy, Big Brother’s Big Sisters. Skillz would be an awesome social chair because people are generally attracted to him.

Chase Adams - Theta Chi

We first fall in love with Chase when Brooke meets him in Clean Teens and fall as equally in love with him when he comes back in the later seasons. Chase is a total sweetheart, which makes him a perfect Theta Chi gentleman. Chase enrolls in the Air Force, so it makes sense that he is naturally attracted to Theta Chi because of their philanthropy, the USO. Chase would most likely be a philanthropy chair because he is passionate about the military, as well as be the bartender at social events (thank you, Tric).

Keith Scott - Alpha Sigma Phi

Alpha Sig’s motto is “To Better the Man” which is what Keith Scott is all about. He was always a kind soul and strove to be the best father figure to Lucas while he was growing up. Keith always reminded the people he loved how much he appreciated them and how much he loved them. His heart was always kind even to the people who treated him poorly. Keith would serve as an awesome new member educator because he is welcoming and loves to teach people from his experiences.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
