I'll Miss You, October
Quote Fancy

Anyone who knows anything obviously knows that October is the best month of all! It’s a whole month seeing the leaves change colors, spooky places, pumpkin spice lattes, and apple-scented candles. Also, Halloween is hands-down the best holiday of the year!

Here are 10 reasons why October is the best month of the year.

1. October marks the beginning of fall weather, which means you get to bring out your oversized plaid button-ups and boots. They may be a little basic, but come on, they’re cute!

2. Pumpkin Spice Lattes. Need I say more?

3. It’s the perfect time to go visit a pumpkin patch with your partner or your best friends. Have you seen everyone’s pictures on Instagram? Not only do you get a pumpkin to carve, but you’ll get the best photos from going.

4. Apple orchards are a thing, and they get the same results as a pumpkin patch. Except you can eat apples, and they’re healthy. Think of Chelsea Houska from Teen Mom 2’s Instagram! Also, is anyone else obsessed with how nice Cole is to Aubree and Chelsea?

5. Some of us like to wear black clothes all year round, which can be annoying in the dead of summer because it’s so unbearably hot. Black is my happy color, you know! However, once October hits, people stop being weird about you for wearing all black.

6. Leather jackets are the greatest piece of clothing ever invented. They pair well with almost anything, and they just make you look like a badass. Well, October is the month you can start wearing them because it’s getting colder!

7. Bath & Body Works gets all their fall-scented candles out, which are by far, the superior of all the scents.

8. Freeform (formerly ABC Family) has the "13 Nights of Halloween" movies! There is literally a whole line-up of some of the best Halloween movies. Hocus Pocus and Halloweentown could play every single day, and I would never get tired of them.

9. Have you ever been to a haunted house with your man? It makes for a great reason to grab onto him throughout the entire thing. Plus, they're exciting.

10. Costumes are so much fun! You get to decide who you want to be for the night of Halloween. Sure, mean girls may judge you, but that’s only because they didn’t think of the idea first. You literally get to look like someone else for the whole night. When else is that socially acceptable?

So here’s to the last day of October. We’ll all miss you so much. I’m already looking forward to your return in 2017. Until then, I’ll be drinking to our memories.

I think the hardest thing about going away to college is figuring out how to become an adult. Leaving a household where your parents took care of literally everything (thanks, Mom!) and suddenly becoming your own boss is overwhelming. I feel like I'm doing a pretty good job of being a grown-up, but once in awhile I do something that really makes me feel like I'm #adulting. Twenty-somethings know what I'm talking about.

I went to a small high school, like 120-people-in-my-graduating-class small. It definitely had some good and some bad, and if you also went to a small high school, I’m sure you’ll relate to the things that I went through.

1. If something happens, everyone knows about it

Who hooked up with whom at the party? Yeah, heard about that an hour after it happened. You failed a test? Sorry, saw on Twitter last period. Facebook fight or, God forbid, real fight? It was on half the class’ Snapchat story half an hour ago. No matter what you do, someone will know about it.

Chandler Bing

I'm assuming that we've all heard of the hit 90's TV series, Friends, right? Who hasn't? Admittedly, I had pretty low expectations when I first started binge watching the show on Netflix, but I quickly became addicted.

Without a doubt, Chandler Bing is the most relatable character, and there isn't an episode where I don't find myself thinking, Yup, Iam definitely the Chandler of my friend group.

Working with the public can be a job, in and of itself. Some people are just plain rude for no reason. But regardless of how your day is going, always having to be in the best of moods, or at least act like it... right?

1. When a customer wants to return a product, hands you the receipt, where is printed "ALL SALES ARE FINAL" in all caps.

2. Just because you might be having a bad day, and you're in a crappy mood, doesn't make it okay for you to yell at me or be rude to me. I'm a person with feelings, just like you.

3. People refusing to be put on hold when a customer is standing right in front of you. Oh, how I wish I could just hang up on you!

RBF, or resting b*tch face, is a serious condition that many people suffer from worldwide. Suffers are often bombarded with daily questions such as "Are you OK?" and "Why are you so mad?" If you have RBF, you've probably had numerous people tell you to "just smile!"
