On Saturday, November 5th, Miami held the 2016 iHeart Radio Fiesta Latina at American Airlines Arena. Thanks to 1iota events, a group of friends and I got into the SOLD OUT concert to be seat fillers for this televised event. Before the madness began, I was seated right in front of the concert stage.

To be seated there for the first 30 minutes of the show was amazing. But what was even more amazing was the show! Being a proud Latina, I knew that the show was going to get my up on my feet to dance and sing all night long. Just how good the show was you might ask? Usually concerts last until 11 o'clock at night and begin at 9 o'clock, but this one started at 8 on the dot and lasted until 1 in the morning! Here are is my review of the incredible line up this year. Hope I can convince you to go next year!

Nicky Jam

He was the first performer of the night and what a way to begin the show! This has been his year with his songs being a delight to listen to. He definitely knew how to get the crowd pump and when the whole arena was singing along to his songs, you know he is a fan favorite.

Enrique Iglesias

Well.

It's Enrique.

He is always amazing, and the women go crazy every time he comes out.

No complaints. Just give me a one-on-one serenade.

The gif says it all.

Pitbull

Pitbull was praised for his community work in the 305 (Miami) before performing on stage. His performance was delightful, but it was the last one of the night so I was pretty tired to enjoy it. Most of the arena was getting slowly empty since it was midnight. It he performed earlier, I might have been more pumped to dance along to "Give Me Everything".

Juanes

While the arena did not look "lit" for Juanes, I enjoyed his performance a lot. His music has been playing in my house for years, so to finally get to hear some of his iconic songs my family and I would always listen to was a pretty cool experience. His vibe is very chill and it really makes you want to sing along to his music.

Daddy Yankee

HANDS DOWN. BEST PERFORMER OF THE NIGHT. His energy was so refreshing. His music is ICONIC. I didn't realize it until that moment that I literally grew up with him. All his song always play at ANY party you go to here in Miami, and to experience this Latino vibe and hype was so memorable. Currently checking if he is doing any tour.

Gente De Zona

This dynamic duo knew how to bring the house down. Their performances where full of energy and hype. They are killing in this year and it was awesome to get to hear one of my favorite party songs live.

Farruko

Don't really listen to him much, but the whole arena was really getting their dance moves on when he came on. He definitely was a fan favorite!

Yandel

Newly solo Yandel killed the game yesterday. His music was catchy and got many people up on their feet to dance.

J Balvin

Another fan favorite who got the area to sing along with him. This rising star of 2016 knew how to pump up the crowd and made many girls swoon.

Overall, the concert was a success and to be able to witness this for free was just the cherry on top.

I'm serious

There are tons of unisex names that are popular: Taylor, Alex, Bailey, etc. There are also numerous names that are used for both sexes, but they’re not seen as “unisex” yet. People are slowly becoming accustomed to the dual use of these names, but for the most part, in their minds they associate certain names with certain sexes. And that leaves those of us with these names in many awkward situations.

I'm an anthropology major, and I love every minute of it. I couldn't tell you why, but I guess there's just something about studying different lifestyles that absolutely fascinates me. But anthropology majors definitely have our weird sides, especially when you go to a school that is filled with mostly Business and Bio majors. But us weirdos definitely have a lot in common, specifically these 16 things.

pale girl

Everyone has insecurities, that's just a fact. You didn't ask to be born this way. You didn't ask to inherit the one trait no one else in your family has. And you definitely didn't ask to be this ghostly white. But as soon as you've learned to live with it for a while (less wrinkles later on in life, right? right???) someone has to ruin it for you. They have to flaunt they're perfectly tanned body from Spring Break and hold their sun-kissed skin against yours. But I've had enough... here are the things that perpetually pale individuals are tired of hearing.

Being a music major is not all kicks and giggles. In fact, there are days when I question my sanity and doubt myself as a musician. I know I am not the only one going through the struggle, and so here are 13 GIFs that I know my fellow music majors can relate to...
