Coming to Oneonta as a transfer I was scared I wasn't going to have any friends cause everyone made their friend group freshman year. Then I realized wait Oneonta has Greek life... Even though I never saw myself as the girl who would join a sorority, I am so happy I did.

1. Rush week is the best and worst week

During recruitment "rush week" it is a week full of events for people who are thinking about joining Greek life. During this week you meet a ton of new people who will hopefully be interested in joining Greek life, you get to hangout with so many different people and see if they would be a good fit for your sisterhood....As amazing as this sounds it is very time consuming and very hectic.

2. Bid day is the best day

At the end of rush week we had out Bids to girls we think would be a perfect fit for our sister hood this day is filled with all the Greek organizations, you get to see and meet the new members of each organization. plus you take a bunch of cute pictures, and come on what sorority girls doesn't like to take pictures

3. When wearing your letters you low-key feel so cool

Whenever I wear my letters either on campus I feel so honored to be part of such a great group of girls, wear those letters loud and proud, you'd be lying if you said you never wear your letters because i have about 40 plus sorority shirts that I wear all the time

4. You always have a shoulder to cry on

There is about 60 plus girls in every sorority on our campus, I know if I was having a bad day anybody out of the 60 girls would let me vent to them and instantly make me feel better

5. You don't need a boyfriend to know someone loves and cares about you

When I was going through a rough breakup all my sisters were there for me when i thought no one would ever love me again, knowing that they were there for me just goes to show how much they care about me

6. Summer is too long without your sisters

Over summer my best friend in my sorority lives 4 hours away from me. By Mid June I couldn't take not being by her side 24-7 So obviously I made the trip to go visit/ surprise her.

7. You will never eat alone at the dining halls

With 60 plus girls your bound to see one of them in the dining hall the same time you are there

8. Time Management is your best friend

From chapter meetings, to community service, to IGC events its very time consuming and you have to be dedicated

9. You need to master being able to talk to random people

During rush you meet a ton of new people, some people you like some people you don't like you have to be able to hold a conversation with anyone and everyone even if you don't like them, and if you cant hold a conversation things can get awkward very quick.

10. Dues are expensive

Dues are the worst part, but that is what you get when you join a sorority, a happy bank account from working all summer, turns into a sad bank account very quickly... is it worth it? 100%

I think the hardest thing about going away to college is figuring out how to become an adult. Leaving a household where your parents took care of literally everything (thanks, Mom!) and suddenly becoming your own boss is overwhelming. I feel like I'm doing a pretty good job of being a grown-up, but once in awhile I do something that really makes me feel like I'm #adulting. Twenty-somethings know what I'm talking about.

I went to a small high school, like 120-people-in-my-graduating-class small. It definitely had some good and some bad, and if you also went to a small high school, I’m sure you’ll relate to the things that I went through.

1. If something happens, everyone knows about it

Who hooked up with whom at the party? Yeah, heard about that an hour after it happened. You failed a test? Sorry, saw on Twitter last period. Facebook fight or, God forbid, real fight? It was on half the class’ Snapchat story half an hour ago. No matter what you do, someone will know about it.

Chandler Bing

I'm assuming that we've all heard of the hit 90's TV series, Friends, right? Who hasn't? Admittedly, I had pretty low expectations when I first started binge watching the show on Netflix, but I quickly became addicted.

Without a doubt, Chandler Bing is the most relatable character, and there isn't an episode where I don't find myself thinking, Yup, Iam definitely the Chandler of my friend group.

Working with the public can be a job, in and of itself. Some people are just plain rude for no reason. But regardless of how your day is going, always having to be in the best of moods, or at least act like it... right?

1. When a customer wants to return a product, hands you the receipt, where is printed "ALL SALES ARE FINAL" in all caps.

2. Just because you might be having a bad day, and you're in a crappy mood, doesn't make it okay for you to yell at me or be rude to me. I'm a person with feelings, just like you.

3. People refusing to be put on hold when a customer is standing right in front of you. Oh, how I wish I could just hang up on you!
