If you give a girl best friends:

1. She’ll have people to lean on when times get tough.

They'll be there for you.

2. She’ll have people she shares hundreds of inside jokes with.

"I love inside jokes. Hope to be part of one some day." -- Michael Scott

3. She’ll laugh more than she cries.

This is so good for your health.

4. She’ll have people to go shopping with after a long day of classes.

Retail therapy is a real thing.

5. She’ll have people to express her concerns with, and people that actually listen to said concerns.

I promise you this actually exists.

6. She’ll have people who worry and care about her as much as she worries and cares about them.

Imagine that.

7. She’ll have people to jam out to throwbacks on the radio with.

And they'll only ask you to "make it louder."

8. She’ll have people to guide her through broken hearts and failed classes.

These will happen and you don't want to be alone when they do.

9. She’ll have thousands of silly selfies on her iCloud with them. And a text thread that's always poppin'.

Maybe get a family data plan.

10. She’ll have people to share meals with.

Food is for family.

11. She’ll have people to celebrate birthdays and holidays with.

This is underrated.

12. She’ll have people she loves more than anything.

It sounds so simple, right? Doesn't make it any less amazing.

13. She’ll have people who binge-watch Grey’s Anatomy with her.

All of your persons.

14. She’ll have people to share drunken memories with.

The more of you there are, the more likely there is to be at least one person that documented the night correctly.

15. She’ll have people to laugh, cry, and dance harder with.

Probably, but not necessarily, in that order.

16. She’ll have people to complain to over Chinese food and cheap wine.

Some of God's greatest gifts.

17. She’ll have people to have stupid fights with just to make up with a few hours later.

Practice makes perfect.

18. She’ll have people who will help her dress.

So vital for big moments.

19. She’ll have people who will eat junky hangover food with her.

Being hungover alone is just another term for "cruel joke."

20. She’ll have people she will eventually call her bridesmaids.

And to help plan a bachelorette party you all will never forget.

21. But, most importantly she’ll have people who will be her lifelong best friends.

There is nothing but good things that can come when you give a girl best friends.

As college students, we are all familiar with the horror show that is course registration week. Whether you are an incoming freshman or selecting classes for your last semester, I am certain that you can relate to how traumatic this can be.

Raising the minimum wage to a livable wage would not only benefit workers and their families, it would also have positive impacts on the economy and society. Studies have shown that by increasing the minimum wage, poverty and inequality can be reduced by enabling workers to meet their basic needs and reducing income disparities.

I come from a low-income family. A family, like many others in the United States, which has lived paycheck to paycheck. My family and other families in my community have been trying to make ends meet by living on the minimum wage. We are proof that it doesn't work.

Every college student knows and understands the struggle of forcing themselves to continue to care about school. Between the piles of homework, the hours of studying and the painfully long lectures, the desire to dropout is something that is constantly weighing on each and every one of us, but the glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel helps to keep us motivated. While we are somehow managing to stay enrolled and (semi) alert, that does not mean that our inner-demons aren't telling us otherwise, and who is better to explain inner-demons than the beloved April Ludgate herself? Because of her dark-spirit and lack of filter, April has successfully been able to describe the emotional roller-coaster that is college on at least 13 different occasions and here they are.
