For those of you who are not familiar with NC State, here is a little introduction to the Wolfpack.
We are a family.
No matter where I am or what I do, I know that I will always have a home with the Wolfpack. When three of our members were lost in the Chapel Hill shooting, we all felt the impact. NCSU will always have your back.
Just because we aren't winning doesn't mean we will stop cheering.
In the 1920s, a newspaper reporter described the student section as "a pack of wolves" because we were cheering so intensely. The Wolfpack became our official mascot from then on, and we definitely live up to our origins.
You can be who you want.
No matter where you came from, what your major is, or the color of your hair, there is a place for you at NC State. Between our Free Expression Tunnel, hundreds of clubs, and everything else we have to offer, there is place for everyone to be themselves.
The people you meet will change you for the better.
Everyone around campus uses manners, holds doors for each other, and are overall friendly people. The atmosphere is extremely welcoming, kind, and encourages you to be the best person you can.
You will make some of the best memories of your life while you are a student.
Sure, we all have nights where you cry into your textbook or laptop or fail that one big test, but I wouldn't change anything. Going to football games, pulling all-nighters, going to downtown Raleigh, and yelling as loud as I can when the Bell Tower turns red after a big win have been some of the best times of my life.
Between our impressive academics, welcoming student body, and competitive sports programs, NC State has it all. If you didn't know who we were or what we stand for, look for us because we are making waves.
