If I Wrote A Holiday Special

In the spirit of the season, I'm going to ramble on about my dream of a Holiday Special.

I'll be perfectly honest with you folks, I just wanted to take it easy over the holidays and not strain myself to come up with a big idea. There were several ideas I could have gone with, but the holiday season felt like the best time to give you all this specific idea. These are the basic ideas I would come up with if I was in charge of a hypothetical Holiday Special.

This wont be very organized or detailed, because I only have a few crazy ideas and concepts in my head to work with. However, I decided to share these ideas with you because I thought it would be fun and I hope it inspires you to think about your very own hypothetical Holiday Special. Without further ado, let's dive right into my glorified fan fiction.

First, my Holiday Special would be about the Guardians of the Galaxy. You are probably asking yourself; Why would they be great for a Holiday Special? The answer is simple, It's the Guardians meeting and fighting alongside Santa. That is an awesome idea in and of itself. Now imagine how this scenario would play out.

We could see Peter Quill feeling sad and the other Guardians ask him what's wrong. He tells them about Christmas and how he used to love the holiday when he celebrated it with his mother on Earth. Peter tells his fellow Guardians about the traditions and how Santa Claus would deliver gifts in his reindeer powered sled.

This intrigues the other Guardians. Rocket would love to get a gift from Santa and possibly examine his flying sled. Gamora is interested in the family aspect and hopes she could eventually rekindle her relationship with her sister Nebula. Soon after, however, the Guardians get a distress call from a near by planet and learn that Santa is contacting them.

Yep, I would make it cannon that Santa is a real in the Marvel Cinematic Universe and that he is an immortal, inter-dimensional being that delivers joy and happiness to beings across the galaxy to maintain his immortality. Santa calls on the Guardians to help him off of a dangerous jungle planet before he is eaten by the crazy alien wildlife that lives there.

The Guardians rush to his aid and they witness the awesome sight of Santa fighting of vicious gremlin looking aliens with a large candy cane bazooka that shoots explosive ornaments and Rudolph fighting alongside him with his laser nose. The Guardians save them and Rocket even helps Santa repair his sled. However, Rocket is not too pleased when he learns that he is on the naughty list.

They help Santa deliver the rest of the gifts to all the corners of the galaxy. After this, Santa says that he has to get back to his dimension, but the Guardians invite him to party at an intergalactic bar with them. With all the work done, Santa takes them up on that offer and they go to an alien bar resting on top of a comet.

They all have a rowdy, but fun Christmas party. They all place presents under Groot, Drax gets into an arm wrestling match with Santa, and Santa gets into a drinking match with Howard the Duck. Eventually Nebula reluctantly joins the party and starts having fun with her sister. Santa eventually pulls Peter aside and hands him a gift.

When he opens the present it's revealed that it's a mix tape that has all of the classic Christmas songs that him and his mother always listened to. The special ends on a funny high note. Santa plans on leaving only to find out that his sled is missing. They see Rocket, with Groot by his side, riding the sled across the stars in retaliation for being put on the naughty list.

That's my rough idea for a Holiday Special involving the Guardians of the Galaxy. It's just a basic idea that hasn't been thought all the way through, obviously, but I think it has the potential to be weird, charming, and very heartwarming. Now I would like to know what crazy idea for a Holiday Special you all think of.

birthday party

My birthday has never been my favorite holiday. I've found that I'm more excited to celebrate my friends' and family members' birthdays more than my own. I don't like being the center of attention, so I usually celebrate over dinner with a small group of family and friends. This way, I can enjoy myself naturally without feeling like I have to entertain everyone and make sure they are satisfied. In the past when I've had large parties, I was so nervous that people weren't perfectly content that I didn't enjoy myself at my own celebration.

College Informations

Most of us have already started the spring semester, and for those of you who haven't started yet, you suck.

It seems like coming back from winter break wouldn't really be a break all things considered, since we all come back to school and pick up right where we left off. We know exactly what to expect, yet we're unprepared every single time.

There are tons of unisex names that are popular: Taylor, Alex, Bailey, etc. There are also numerous names that are used for both sexes, but they’re not seen as “unisex” yet. People are slowly becoming accustomed to the dual use of these names, but for the most part, in their minds they associate certain names with certain sexes. And that leaves those of us with these names in many awkward situations.
