What if today was your last? What if you didn’t wake up in the morning or got into a car wreck on the way home from work? How would you be remembering here on Earth? Did you have a servant’s heart or did you only care about yourself? Your time on Earth is just a blip on the radar and your time beyond that is eternal. Where will you spend your time after Earth?
The Earth has been around for roughly 4.5 billion years and the average life expectancy of a human is 71 years. So, in reality, your life isn’t long at all and you will be forgotten about 50 years after your death. That doesn’t mean that what you left on Earth will be forgotten.
Jesus calls us to be disciples for Him. When you bring others to Christ, you are leaving your mark on this world forever. The people of this world will not know this, but God will, and that is all that really matters. When you bring someone to Christ, they will go and tell of His word to lead others to the Father as well.
This is also true with your actions. Everything you do on this Earth, so turn around and give glory to God. Have you ever done anything good without expecting a reward in return? The best deeds are done when no one is watching, when there is nobody there to pat you on the back and say, “good job”; these are the things that are truly done with a servant’s heart!
So, if today was your last, would you leave your mark on it? Did you have a servant’s heart? Did you disciple others and bring them to the Father? When people look at you, is there something different? Look at your life and ask yourself if this is the life you want to be living. If not, change it! It honestly is that easy. You should change because you never know if it will be your last day on Earth.
