We know our favorite band of plucky kids from "Stranger Things" love the nerdy tabletop role-play game of "Dungeons & Dragons". I do, too. And with the boys referring to their group of friends as "the party" and having assigned each other D&D classes, I can't help but wonder what their character stats would be.

Let's take a look, shall we?

1. Mike

Class - Paladin

Strength - 12

Dexterity - 11

Constitution - 13

Intelligence - 12

Wisdom - 8

Charisma - 11

2. Will

Class - Cleric

Strength - 9

Dexterity - 7

Constitution - 12

Intelligence - 10

Wisdom - 8

Charisma - 9

3. Lucas

Class - Ranger

Strength - 12

Dexterity - 10

Constitution - 13

Intelligence - 10

Wisdom - 8

Charisma - 8

4. Dustin

Class - Bard

Strength - 9

Dexterity - 10

Constitution - 12

Intelligence - 10

Wisdom - 8

Charisma - 15

5. Eleven

Class - Mage

Strength - 10

Dexterity - 12

Constitution - 10

Intelligence - 6

Wisdom - 9

Charisma - 3

Of course, when making actual character sheets for a fun game of "Dungeons & Dragons," you'd be rolling your dice to determine your character's stats, but for this, I figured it'd be okay to bend the rules a little bit and assign them stats I thought appropriate. And, just as an FYI for anyone who understands how the game really works, the basic stats are based more on the characters' already existing personalities and have not taken into account how the modifiers would affect their decisions based on their assigned party classes (i.e. an arcana check would add the intelligence modifier to the player's, so, as a mage, Eleven would want a higher intelligence when assigning what she rolled to her character. Because I've based the assigned statistics with zero regards to their classes, this is not reflected.).

Watch "Stranger Things" for the first (or hundredth) time on Netflix! Or, if you're interested in creating your own D&D character and journeying on an epic adventure like our nerdy boys, you can download a free PDF version of the character sheets online to experience the action for yourself with your own friends.

7 Ways to Make Your Language More Transgender and Nonbinary Inclusive

With more people becoming aware of transgender and non-binary people, there have been a lot of questions circulating online and elsewhere about how to be more inclusive. Language is very important in making a space safer for trans and non-binary individuals. With language, there is an established and built-in measure of whether a place could be safe or unsafe. If the wrong language is used, the place is unsafe and shows a lack of education on trans and non-binary issues. With the right language and education, there can be more safe spaces for trans and non-binary people to exist without feeling the need to hide their identities or feel threatened for merely existing.

Cambio

Singing is something I do all day, every day. It doesn't matter where I am or who's around. If I feel like singing, I'm going to. It's probably annoying sometimes, but I don't care -- I love to sing! If I'm not singing, I'm probably humming, sometimes without even realizing it. So as someone who loves to sing, these are some of the feelings and thoughts I have probably almost every day.
