If So, Come to Me (I Get it)

You’re lost right now

You’re confused

You’re sad

You’re damaged

You’re stuck in the middle right now

I take a deep breath

If only you knew how much I get it

You’re crying right now

Your tears are are flooding down your face

Because you just can’t seem to find any right words to explain your pain

I close my eyes

If only you knew how much I understand

Isolated and alone

Nowhere or no one to call home

So you’re stuck inside your head

But don’t you know this is where sadness and darkness lives?

Positivity and light are unwelcome guests

This is why your heart feels dead

Maybe I’m wrong

But I have a funny feeling my words are accurate

And I think you know I get it

If so, come to me

I’ll escape my darkness and send away my demons for a little while

And do my best to make you smile

Ah, yes, good old Hauppauge. We are that town in the dead center of Long Island that barely anyone knows how to pronounce unless they're from the town itself or live in a nearby area. Hauppauge is home to people of all kinds. We always have new families joining the community but honestly, the majority of the town is filled with people who never leave (high school alumni) and elders who have raised their kids here. Around the town, there are some just some landmarks and places that only the people of Hauppauge will ever understand the importance or even the annoyance of.
