The secrets are silenced
With each crash of a wave.
A surfer, swimmer, and a dog dive into the divine water
Hoping to catch a secret or two.
Have you ever wondered,
What the ocean really knows?
Generations of families have swum through her waters
She has listened to arguments and deep life talks.
Witnessed proposals and love grow between friends,
And people have trusted her with the secrets of their own.
If oceans could talk,
You would have her trust.
Each person embraced and kept secure as they’re brought in and out with the waves.
Then again we know talking is dangerous,
Talking leads to gossip and secrets shared.
Maybe, after all, it is better that the ocean does not respond to us.
We do not need to know all of the answers to the universe,
But we do need someone,
Or something
To trust without failure
And for that we have the ocean.
