If MTV Characters Were In Greek Life
MTV - Viacom/Atlanta Blackstar

Some people go Greek to find a home, and some can establish themselves without Greek Life. When it comes to TV characters on MTV, they would blossom into amazing members of the Greek community. From "Teen Wolf," to "Faking It," to "Awkward," here's where some of our MTV stars would end up on the Greek Life spectrum.

Matty McKibben from "Awkward" — Sigma Nu

If you're caught up on MTV's hit show "Awkward," then you're aware of how much of a douche Matty McKibben can be, which is the epitome of a fraternity man. He has yanked Jenna Hamilton's heart around...just as much as she has to him. He's a genuine nice guy, though, and has a soft side. He has the looks to be in a top tier fraternity, and from the past episode where he got in a fight with Jake on the beach, we know Matty can have a self-absorbed ego after a couple of beers.

Matty seems like he is the type of guy you would see on campus that is active and cares about his social status. You could see him being in one of the popular houses and being known as the heartbreaking sweetheart. He does not pick up on some signals well. He does have some unspoken problems that no one but a select few people know about. He'd be a quality guy to go on a date with and have fun. Plus, ladies, he would be a good guy to make your ex-boyfriend jealous. If Matty McKibben goes greek after his time at Palos Verde High, he would definitely be a Sigma Nu.

Shane Harvey from "Faking It" — Delta Tau Delta

If you haven't watched MTV's "Faking It," then you are missing one of the best characters MTV has on a TV show. Shane Harvey is probably the most interesting character to be developed. He's one of the more popular students of Hester High. He's also openly gay. Often, the gay character does not have much of a role in TV shows but you cannot have "Faking It" without Shane Harvey.

To describe Shane as a sweetheart would be wrong. He does have a heart and is one of the most loving characters and cares about himself and always puts himself first. That's pretty honorable since most people our age do not do that. He's very confident and will stand up for what he believes in since he has been known to stage protests at Hester High. He's a good looking guy and as some "frat stars" say, he probably has a good pull to chill ratio. He has been known to put other people's dirty laundry out on the line though. If anyone remembers, he did out his professional kickboxing boyfriend to the media. Which worked out for him in the short term. He and Duke dated for a couple episodes before Duke's huge match in L.A. Still, Shane got what he wanted...in a way. With Shane's go get personality, he will probably be every sorority girl's best friend while being honorable and respectable. After graduation, I could see Shane being a brother of Delta Tau Delta.

Stiles from "Teen Wolf" — Pi Kappa Alpha

Stiles is the hot sidekick of "Teen Wolf." Playing Scott McCall's best friend, he is the comic relief and at times the hero. No, we're not talking about Void Stiles. We're pretending that he was never possessed, okay? Anyways, throughout the series Stiles has been a key player. He is intelligent and can figure out any mystery possible....or have a really good attempt.

Stiles would definitely be a good contributor to intramural sports for a chapter. He is above average when it comes to Lacrosse and we all know he can run for his life. Looking at his personality, he is a hopeless romantic and can be a little awkward around girls but what guy isn't? We all know that he would do anything for anyone. The fact he's stuck by Scott's side until the finale of the most recent season. He would be a great to carry the bond of brotherhood. Especially, since he has gone through the thick and thin with supernatural creatures. He even is in love with a supernatural creature. If that does not show Stiles' dedication to his friends, then I do not know what does.

Stiles is smart and could be a scholar if he tried. Key word, tried. He definitely shows characteristics of leader. He called out Theo for being a fraud in the last season of "Teen Wolf." Although sometimes your friends may doubt you, you need to stick with what you believe in. That's a quality characteristic of a leader. Finally, he is one of the nicest guys on the show. He generally cares for the girls he loves as well as his friends. He would definitely come pick you up at 3 a.m. if you needed it. If you can figure out what I'm saying; I just basically defined SLAG (Scholars, Leaders, Athletes, and Gentlemen). So you can only assume that Stiles would be a proud brother of Pi Kappa Alpha.

Amy from "Faking It" — Delta Gamma

MTV's "Faking It" has one character that has definitely left her impact. Amy can be a little iffy at times, but she has a pretty good idea of who she is. She was outed to the entire student body by Shane Harvey and came out as a lesbian. However, she has really established herself. She has a good moral compass and tries to do what is right for herself and her friends—minus the fact she slept with her best friend's boyfriend, (She totally regretted the entire situation and went to crazy extents to make sure that her and her best friend Karma were on good terms.)

You rarely see Amy doing anything to spite someone without good reason. Amy shows that she has the true ideals of friendship and has a sense of her responsibilities on a social and personal level. She is continuously trying to do what is right however, sometimes it does not always work out the way she wished it would. Amy does have some personal issues; she has an internal battle about her feelings for Karma and figuring out whether or not if she is bisexual or a lesbian. This is something that happens amongst students in high school and in college. If Amy were to make it to Bid Day, she'd be running home to throw what she knows with the girls of Delta Gamma.

Lydia Martin from "Teen Wolf" — Alpha Phi

Lydia Martin started off in "Teen Wolf" as the HBIC. She was a bit abrasive and wanted things to go her way. She was dating one of the hottest boys in Beacon Hills (Jackson aka Colton Haynes aka the jawline) and had everything together. She is one of the characters whom has impeccable style and is secretly super smart. As "Teen Wolf" goes on, Lydia loses her mind at some points. She can be the hot mess express. However, Lydia is definitely a daddy's girl and has high standards. She dated Jackson, who is flawless. That's your proof.

After looking at Lydia's actions and thoughts throughout the series, she would definitely embody being a good sister. With Lydia's intelligence, she would probably be the type of girl who works hard and parties harder. Lydia would sign up for recruitment and look nicer than half of the chapters there. She is a very loyal girl who definitely has the characteristics to be an extraordinary leader. From the moment Lydia started formal recruitment, she would be running home to her sisters from Alpha Phi on bid day.

Sadie Sexton from "Awkward" — Zeta Tau Alpha

The biggest bitch on MTV you know is coming from Palos Verde High. Sadie Sexton is the most abrasive girl to ever hit 10p.m. on Monday nights. Sadie is a key type of girl. She makes sure to remind everyone that she is the queen. After watching "Awkward," you could tell that she would be the Risk Management Chair. She wants everything to go her way and she keeps the social latter of Palos Verde High School in check. She is definitely a force to be reckoned with and you don't even have to thank her. She'll automatically remind you that "You're Welcome."

When looking at Sadie as a person, you can see that her big, bad bitch facade is just an act. She has some internal problems that she will be damned if she admits them. Her relationship with her mom isn't a normal one, and her dad is pretty irrelevant when you watch the show. Sadie would be the Potential New Member that Sorority girls would fear.

Although she is a social nightmare, Sadie values being honorable. She has her self-confidence and has a soft spot. Sadie would be killer in philanthropies and would dominate flag football for the chapter. If you saw that girl running at you on a field, you'd better duck because she might run you over and still look good doing it. Sadie Sexton would sign up for Formal Recruitment and show up to the first round and start recruiting for her chapter. The minute she signed up for recruitment, she would walk to her first chapter with her sisters of Zeta Tau Alpha and say "I'm here...You're welcome." The sisters of Zeta would whip her bad attitude right out of her and turn her into one of the best representations of a Zeta. Sometimes, you just need guidance in life to realize that you're not always right and Zeta is a perfect fit for Sadie.

Raising the minimum wage to a livable wage would not only benefit workers and their families, it would also have positive impacts on the economy and society. Studies have shown that by increasing the minimum wage, poverty and inequality can be reduced by enabling workers to meet their basic needs and reducing income disparities.

I come from a low-income family. A family, like many others in the United States, which has lived paycheck to paycheck. My family and other families in my community have been trying to make ends meet by living on the minimum wage. We are proof that it doesn't work.

April Ludgate

Every college student knows and understands the struggle of forcing themselves to continue to care about school. Between the piles of homework, the hours of studying and the painfully long lectures, the desire to dropout is something that is constantly weighing on each and every one of us, but the glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel helps to keep us motivated. While we are somehow managing to stay enrolled and (semi) alert, that does not mean that our inner-demons aren't telling us otherwise, and who is better to explain inner-demons than the beloved April Ludgate herself? Because of her dark-spirit and lack of filter, April has successfully been able to describe the emotional roller-coaster that is college on at least 13 different occasions and here they are.
