If Mean Girls Characters Were College Majors

Oh my god Karen, you cannot just ask people why they're Undecided.

If Mean Girls Characters Were College Majors

Mean Girls is a timeless classic - a film that nearly every millennial girl has seen and probably forced a boyfriend to watch at some point. Quotes from this movie can be thrown flawlessly into everyday conversations, making them some of the most easily recognizable references out there. This movie is so popular, my university actually had a Mean Girls themed dinner on October 3rd (if you're reading this article, then I think it's safe to say you've seen the movie at least once and I don't need to explain why that is an important date). Everyone wants to know what character they'd be from their favorite movie, so here you go - scroll through and find your major! If it's not here, don't worry - you're still fetch.

Cady Heron - Mathematics/Statistics

This is pretty much a given. Not only does Cady love math, she's crazy good at it. She pulls proportions out of thin air and wins state championship math competitions!

Regina George - Psychology

Regina knows how people work, and she knows how to use that to her advantage. She proved that when she gave people fake compliments to give the illusion that she was nice, when she exaggerated about Cady's crush to get Aaron back, and when she put herself in the Burn Book to convince Mr. Duvall she had nothing to do with it.

Ms. Norbury - Management

Not only does this woman hold down three jobs, she motivates everyone around her to do their best and found an effective way for all of the girls to mend their friendships after the Burn Book. Ms. Norbury is a natural-born team leader.

Gretchen Wieners - Public Relations

Gretchen has the scoop on everyone. She is always relaying information between the Plastics, speaking on behalf of her friends and presenting her information in a thorough and effective way.

Janis Ian - Art

Janis's artistic talents were shown in the film with her detailed North Shore map and her prize winning painting. However, her character is shown to have the beautiful, creative mind that every artist needs to bring their beauty to life.

Aaron Samuels - Physical Education

Well, Aaron's super into sports and he likes helping people as shown by his eagerness to tutor Cady, so why not P.E.? I know I'd never skip class if he was the teacher.

Mrs. George - Nursing

Though a questionable mother, Mrs. George would make a great nurse! She's always interested in what's going on with the girls and at the ready should they need anything (even if it's just snacks or a condom).

Karen Smith - Meteorology

If there were a major that involved sticking her whole fist in her mouth, she would probably go with that instead. Since there isn't she'll just have to rely on her other talent - telling us when it's raining!

Coach Carr - Pre Med

He's got all the body and health advice we could ever need to be safe! All I can say is I hope he practiced what he preached with Trang Pak.

Principal Duvall - Criminal Justice

Mr. Duvall is not afraid to put the smack down on when it comes to keeping his students in line. I mean come on, he had a bat in his office! He knows how to take care of someone that's not following the rules and give them the punishment they deserve.

Damian Leigh - Musical Theater

This "star on the rise" loves to perform, and is easily the most extra character in the entire movie. You'll probably see him on stage killing it in your campus's performing arts center, and hopefully there aren't any haters throwing shoes this time!

For those long nights that turn into mornings when the struggle is real.

And so it begins.

1. Walk in motivated and ready to rock

Camping out at the library is not for the faint of heart. You need to go in as a warrior. You usually have brought supplies (laptop, chargers, and textbooks) and sustenance (water, snacks, and blanket/sweatpants) since the battle will be for an undetermined length of time. Perhaps it is one assignment or perhaps it's four. You are motivated and prepared; you don’t doubt the assignment(s) will take time, but you know it couldn’t be that long.

December... it's full of finals, due dates, Mariah Carey, and the holidays. It's the worst time of the year, but the best because after finals, you get to not think about classes for a month and catch up on all the sleep you lost throughout the semester. But what's worse than finals week is the last week of classes, when all the due dates you've put off can no longer be put off anymore.

28 Daily Thoughts of College Students

"I want to thank Google, Wikipedia, and whoever else invented copy and paste. Thank you."

I know every college student has daily thoughts throughout their day. Whether you're walking on campus or attending class, we always have thoughts running a mile a minute through our heads. We may be wondering why we even showed up to class because we'd rather be sleeping, or when the professor announces that we have a test and you have an immediate panic attack.

The Great Christmas Movie Debate

"A Christmas Story" is the star on top of the tree.

The Great Christmas Movie Debate
Mental Floss

One staple of the Christmas season is sitting around the television watching a Christmas movie with family and friends. But of the seemingly hundreds of movies, which one is the star on the tree? Some share stories of Santa to children ("Santa Claus Is Coming to Town"), others want to spread the Christmas joy to adults ("It's a Wonderful Life"), and a select few are made to get laughs ("Elf"). All good movies, but merely ornaments on the Christmas tree of the best movies. What tops the tree is a movie that bridges the gap between these three movies, and makes it a great watch for anyone who chooses to watch it. Enter the timeless Christmas classic, "A Christmas Story." Created in 1983, this movie holds the tradition of capturing both young and old eyes for 24 straight hours on its Christmas Day marathon. It gets the most coverage out of all holiday movies, but the sheer amount of times it's on television does not make it the greatest. Why is it,
then? A Christmas Story does not try to tell the tale of a Christmas miracle or use Christmas magic to move the story. What it does do though is tell the real story of Christmas. It is relatable and brings out the unmatched excitement of children on Christmas in everyone who watches. Every one becomes a child again when they watch "A Christmas Story."

As this semester wraps up, students can’t help but be stressed about finals. After all, our GPAs depends on these grades! What student isn’t worrying about their finals right now? It’s “goodbye social life, hello library” time from now until the end of finals week.

1. Finals are weeks away, I’m sure I’ll be ready for them when they come.
