If It Is Supposed To Happen, It Will Happen

There is nothing we can do to change the inevitable.

If It Is Supposed To Happen, It Will Happen

Change is inevitable and sometimes that is hard to accept. One of the hardest things I have ever had to learn is that if it is meant to happen, it will happen. I am a firm believer that everything happens for a reason and no amount of precautions can prevent something from happening.

Usually, when things change, people are quick to react negatively and get rid of the change to make things go back to the way they were. I have always been quick to notice even the slightest changes in people's attitudes and the way they act in certain situations. This has personally made me more prepared for changes that were to come. The only problem with me noticing these slight differences is that it would cause me to try to stop what I felt was about to happen.

I frequently want things to go my way or to go no way at all. Reality has hit me in the face pretty hard withing these past few years as I have realized that I, believe it or not, cannot control every little thing that goes on in the world. It's easy to get caught up in the fantasies of your thoughts but when you start thinking logically, you must realize that life is going to take its course with or without you trying to influence it.

It is okay to want things and to pursue those wants but at the end of the day, it will happen if it is supposed to happen. Of course you still have to work for it but I believe that if you are actually meant to end up with a certain career or a certain person, you will end up that way. Each life is unique in its own way and we all experience different situations and react to those situations differently.

I always try really hard to make something happen if I want it to. I fail to realize that just because I want it to happen doesn't mean that those who are involved in the situation want it to happen too. We all need to spend less time waiting around and just let things happen as they are supposed to. There is nothing we can do to change the inevitable. If it's meant to be, it will be. We just have to leave it alone and let it be so it can, if that's what is supposed to happen.

In honor of Mother’s Day, I have been thinking of all the things my mom does for my family and me. Although I couldn’t write nearly all of them, here are a few things that moms do for us.

They find that shirt that’s right in front of you, but just you can’t seem to find.

10 Reasons To Thank Your Best Friend

Take the time to thank that one friend in your life you will never let go of.

Thank You on wooden blocks

1. Thank you for being the one I can always count on to be honest.

A true friend will tell you if the shirt is ugly, or at least ask to borrow it and "accidentally" burn it.

2. Thank you for accepting me for who I am.

A best friend will love you regardless of the stale french fries you left on the floor of your car, or when you had lice in 8th grade and no one wanted to talk to you.

Do as I say, not as I do.

Your eyes widen in horror as you stare at your phone. Beads of sweat begin to saturate your palm as your fingers tremble in fear. The illuminated screen reads, "Missed Call: Mom."

Growing up with strict parents, you learn that a few things go unsaid. Manners are everything. Never talk back. Do as you're told without question. Most importantly, you develop a system and catch on to these quirks that strict parents have so that you can play their game and do what you want.

"Friends" maybe didn’t have everything right or realistic all the time, but they did have enough episodes to create countless reaction GIFs and enough awesomeness to create, well, the legacy they did. Something else that is timeless, a little rough, but memorable? Living away from the comforts of home. Whether you have an apartment, a dorm, your first house, or some sort of residence that is not the house you grew up in, I’m sure you can relate to most of these!
