What better way to explain my first semester than with songs.

1. I Love College - Asher Roth

Months leading up to college this was my song on repeat. I was excited to start a new chapter of my life and make new friends this year.

2. I Fall Apart -Post Malone

The first couple weeks of college flew by, I felt like I was at summer camp. Endless sleepovers, and no parents. Until the weekend before my first test it all hit me. I no longer was having the time of my life. But, I was drowning in textbook readings, and essay.

3. Better -Khalid

After getting into the routines of things I began to feel more at home. And I was on top of my school work which felt like a weight off of my shoulders.

4. Mo Bamba -Sheck Wes

The first few weekends I'm pretty sure the only song that DJs had on its queue was Mo Bamba. This song was good the first 100x.

5. DEVASTATED -Joey Bada$$

Midterms Feels. Morale is low. I still don't understand any of the content we spent the first weeks learning, i'm sleep deprived, and hungry, Devastated is the reaction that my parents had when checking my grades afterwards on My Slice.

6. Work -Iggy Azalea.

"No money, No family, Sixteen in the middle of Miami" Basically same, Except eighteen in the middle of Syracuse.

7. Coming Home -Keith Urban

Pre Thanksgiving Break. I was so excited to go back home and enjoy a nice meal away from the dining hall.

8. Pocketful of Sunshine -Natasha Bedingfield.

"Take me away, A secret place, A sweet escape" After being home more than 24 hours I immediately wanted to go back to Cuse land. Somehow my parents got 100x more annoying than I remembered. They proceeded to yell at me every 5 seconds for stupid things like not cleaning my room or being out to late at night.

9. Pound the Alarm -Nicki Minaj

Lawrinson Fire Drills. This semester I was blessed enough to have two in a row one night. One was at 4:45 am, the other at 5:33 am.

10. Mistletoe -Justin Bieber.

Someone through some my direction. Its cuffing szn but I still haven't found anyone yet. My relationship life? A momentary low point. My excitement for Christmas ? Couldn't be any higher.

11. All the kids are depressed -Jeremy Zucker.

Finals? Who are you. I feel like we literally just we taking midterms.

12. Free Fallin - John Mayer

Free from school work at last. Just a month of freedom to enjoy family, high school friends, and sleeping in.

As college students, we are all familiar with the horror show that is course registration week. Whether you are an incoming freshman or selecting classes for your last semester, I am certain that you can relate to how traumatic this can be.

1. When course schedules are released and you have a conflict between two required classes.

Bonus points if it is more than two.

Raising the minimum wage to a livable wage would not only benefit workers and their families, it would also have positive impacts on the economy and society. Studies have shown that by increasing the minimum wage, poverty and inequality can be reduced by enabling workers to meet their basic needs and reducing income disparities.

I come from a low-income family. A family, like many others in the United States, which has lived paycheck to paycheck. My family and other families in my community have been trying to make ends meet by living on the minimum wage. We are proof that it doesn't work.

As an English Major in college, I have a lot of writing and especially creative writing pieces that I work on throughout the semester and sometimes, I'll find it hard to get the motivation to type a few pages and the thought process that goes behind it. These are eleven thoughts that I have as a writer while writing my stories.

April Ludgate

Every college student knows and understands the struggle of forcing themselves to continue to care about school. Between the piles of homework, the hours of studying and the painfully long lectures, the desire to dropout is something that is constantly weighing on each and every one of us, but the glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel helps to keep us motivated. While we are somehow managing to stay enrolled and (semi) alert, that does not mean that our inner-demons aren't telling us otherwise, and who is better to explain inner-demons than the beloved April Ludgate herself? Because of her dark-spirit and lack of filter, April has successfully been able to describe the emotional roller-coaster that is college on at least 13 different occasions and here they are.
