Almost every little girl grows up loving disney princesses. Many people grow out of it and look at the disney princesses as sentimental reminders of their childhood. We sorority girls, however, never seem to grow out of this stage. We still swoon over Price Charming and, let’s be real, we all wish it was still acceptable to wear our favorite princess costume to the grocery store. So of course we’ve all wondered, which sorority would our favorite princesses be in?
Princess Belle, Alpha Gamma Delta.
Princess Belle is well known around France for always getting swept away by a good book, so she would fit in perfectly with the scholarly sisters of Alpha Gamma Delta. Alpha Gams are always the one’s to offer you help on your homework, just like Belle would, and they never fail to see people for who they truly are on the inside.
Princess Ariel, Delta Gamma.
Princess Ariel is always looking for new adventures, just like the sisters of Delta Gamma! If you ever feel like taking a spontaneous road trip, hitting up a dance party, or taking a weekend trip to the beach, call a DG friend and I guarantee she will jump at the chance, just like Ariel would. Ariel’s brand new legs would definitely help her rock their annual corn hole tournament and I could totally see her sporting anchors on the daily (especially if it’s the one off of Prince Eric’s ship).
Cinderella, Alpha Chi Omega.
You know what she says: “Have courage and be kind.” This phrase commonly used by Cinderella is something the sisters of Alpha Chi Omega always seem to live by. These Jesus-loving sisters are always the ones to offer a helping hand to anyone, even if it is an evil stepmother, with no complaints. Cinderella would fit perfectly with these sweet sisters. Let’s just hope she wouldn’t lose a shoe at formal.
Princess Aurora, none.
Sleeping Beauty signed up for recruitment, but she slept through the first day of ice water teas, so she couldn’t continue. Whoops! Maybe she’ll rush next year, if her prince ever comes and wakes her up.
Rapunzel, Delta Delta Delta.
After being cooped up in her tower for so long, Rapunzel is ready to see the world and go on adventures. A spot in Delta Delta Delta would give her plenty of opportunities to do that with her fun-loving sisters. Tri-Delts are sweet and down to earth, just like Rapunzel! She also got plenty of practice cooking while up in her tower, so she would be a master at flipping pancakes at D-Hop every year with her trusty frying pan. Yeah, her best friend may be a chameleon, but I’m sure she could embrace a new friendship with dolphins.
Snow White, Alpha Xi Delta or Kappa Alpha Theta.
Snow White is definitely the most kind and gentle of the Disney princesses, but she’s still always ready to party and dance to yodeling music with her seven dwarves (aka frat boys). She’s so likable that she could literally fit in with any group of girls and probably end up eventually being president. I can mostly see her as an AXiD or a Theta because those sororities have such diverse groups of girls. Snow White would be the girl that is friends with everyone and knows almost every girl in the chapter's name. She’s so sweet that any group would welcome her with open arms. Who wouldn’t want to be sisters with the fairest of them all?
Princess Jasmine, Gamma Phi Beta or Zeta Tau Alpha.
Independent, fiery, and smart are three words that describe both Princess Jasmine and the sisters of Gamma Phi Beta and Zeta Tau Alpha. Jasmine is a genuine person who doesn’t care about riches or money and looks at people for who they truly are, which makes her a perfect fit for either of these sororities who are known to do the same. Zetas and Gamma Phis always have fun when they go out and are always looking stylish, so these girls would totally embrace Jasmine and her trendy crop top and flare pants. Plus, who needs pledges to drive you downtown when you have a magic carpet?
Elsa, Alpha Delta Pi or Kappa Delta.
Elsa is quite a classy lady, being queen of Arendelle and all, so she would fit in well with the prim and proper girls of ADPi or KD. Sure she may be the last one you expect to show up to the party, but when she does you know she’s going to have a raging good time and bring a storm with her. Elsa and her sister Anna are huge believers in sisters before misters, so you bet she’ll be loyal to her sorority always.
Anna, Alpha Omicron Pi.
If you have ever met an AOII, you’ll agree with me that they are some of the funniest girls you’ll ever meet. Anna, with her adorably awkward sense of humor, would definitely be embraced by this awesome group. Anna is bursting with energy and stays happy and positive despite the situation, just like her AOII sisters. She’s also endured trekking through a snow storm for 5ever to tell Elsa to bring back summer, so I’m sure the Run for Roses would be a piece of cake for her.
Mulan, Sigma Kappa.
Mulan is not your high heels and ball gown type of Princess. She is strong, courageous, and loyal. This would make her fit perfectly in Sigma Kappa. These girls are the best of both worlds: they’re able to hang out with and act like one of the guys, yet they’re still pretty and fun to be around. This makes Mulan, and her awesome warrior skills, a prime candidate for Sigma Kappa.
Pocahontas, Chi Omega.
Pocahontas is always at one with nature which would fit her perfectly with the granola, artsy girls at Chi Omega. Chi Omega’s are always down to go hiking, camping, or enoing with you just so they can soak in the beauty of nature, so Pocahontas would be a great fit with them. She would always be down to introduce them to her animal friends. Chi Omegas are also very open minded girls that will befriend anyone, even if they are a little different from them. Similar to how Pocahontas loved John Smith, despite his background.
Tiana, Delta Zeta.
Princess Tiana is elegant, beautiful, and poised, just like the sisters of Delta Zeta. Tiana is ambitious and determined and can sometimes get consumed with her work as a waitress, but she still finds time to dance, listen to some jazz music, and kiss some frogs along the way. This goes perfectly with the personalities of DZ’s sisters, who always seem to be masters at balancing work and play. I’m sure she’ll hold turtles as near and dear to her heart as she does frogs. I imagine her attending tons of Panhellenic events, including those for her BFF, Charlotte La Bouff, who I can totally see as a Phi Mu.
Alice in Wonderland, Pi Beta Phi or Kappa Kappa Gamma.
Okay, sure she’s not a princess, but she’s one of my favorites so I’m including her anyway. Alice is quite the curious girl and loves to read, so Pi Phi and Kappa’s philanthropies, Read Lead Achieve and Reading Is Fundamental, would definitely be her cup of tea (haha, see what I did there?). Alice has also seen all kinds of crazy stuff, so maybe that could spawn some cool future social themes.
