If Central PA Colleges Were Parks and Rec Characters

Recently the "three character challenge" went around Facebook and Instagram, where people would post the three fictional character that best showed off their personality. Colleges also have their own characteristics that make them unique to their students, especially in central Pennsylvania. This part of the state has the special quality of having cities, towns, and rural spaces all thrown into the same area, much like Parks and Recreation's Pawnee, Indiana. So what if the college's in central Pennsylvania were Parks and Rec characters? No worries, I've done all the work.

1. Pennsylvania State University (State College)

Jean-Raphlio Saperstein loves a good party. Maybe a little too much.

2. Bucknell University

Council-woman Ingrid de Forest cares about the well-being of her town Egaleton as much as she loves a good quality Vineyard Vine's quarter-zip.

3. Bloomsburg University

Jerry/Gerry/Larry

4. Millersville University

Jean-Ralphio's little sister Mona-Lisa Saperstein maybe be smaller in size, but she's just as crazy.

5. Lock Haven University

April Ludgate

6. Lycoming College

Andy Dywer always tries his best at everything he does. Not always getting everything right, but we give him the benefit of the doubt anyway. Much like Lyco, Andy's loyalty keeps us coming back.

6 1/2. Penn College of Technology

Andy from the Pit

7. Franklin and Marshall College

Donna Meagle

8. Shippensburg University

Chris Traeger is always super active, never slows down, and finds it hard to live in the middle of nowhere.

9. Susquehanna University

Crazy Craig: the man who makes us questions our level of impatience and stupidity.

10. Haverford College

um...Tom. Tom Haverford.

11. Juniata College

Ben Wyatt embraces his nerdy-ness and his love of boardgames, like The Cones of Dunshire.

12. Mansfield University

It's hard not to love Lil' Sabstian.

There's plenty of colleges that have the traits of more Parks and Rec characters. Which one do you think should have the privilege of being Leslie Knope and Ron Swanson?

Singing is something I do all day, every day. It doesn't matter where I am or who's around. If I feel like singing, I'm going to. It's probably annoying sometimes, but I don't care -- I love to sing! If I'm not singing, I'm probably humming, sometimes without even realizing it. So as someone who loves to sing, these are some of the feelings and thoughts I have probably almost every day.
