As much as I want to deny it, graduation is ever-looming, and quickly becoming less of a far-fetched dream and more of an exciting, yet frightening, reality. And, in order to prepare, I've been doing lots of...well...research into what I want to do with my one and only college graduation cap. Do I want to decorate it with a quote? A flag? A map? A lyric? Do I want to be clever, or do I want to be original? Witty or serious? Boring or exhilarating? Ah, yes, good old Hauppauge. We are that town in the dead center of Long Island that barely anyone knows how to pronounce unless they're from the town itself or live in a nearby area. We always have new families joining the community but honestly, the majority of the town is filled with people who never leave (high school alumni) and elders who have raised their kids here.
