1. Go to concerts or festivals.

From free concerts to music festivals such as Firefly, Governors Ball, Bonnaroo, and Boston Calling, the possibilities and locations are endless. See this link for more details: https://seatgeek.com/tba/festivals/music-festivals...

2. Sleep under the stars.

Whether you choose a popular camping spot or your very own backyard, sleep outdoors for a night.

3. Visit a new city.

If you have the time and money, book a plane ticket, buy a bus ticket, hop on a train, or drive with a friend. Whatever it may be, go to a city you've always wanted to see in person instead of in a travel magazine.

4. Purchase a portable hammock.

As soon as I get my next paycheck I'm purchasing one of these.

5. Watch fireworks.

On the Fourth of July, be sure to check out local firework shows or travel to the city or shore. Even if it's not a holiday, some towns have firework displays throughout the summer.

6. Start a blog (or any new hobby).

You never know what that summer day full of boredom could lead to.

7. Go zip lining.

Bring out your outdoors enthusiast persona.

8. Go flower picking or berry picking.

Spend the day at a farm and come home with fresh fruit and flowers that you personally cut. Here's a link for the other Bucks County residents: https://mommypoppins.com/new-jersey-kids/farms-u-p...

9. Go (mini) golfing.

Is it really summer without it?

10. Try a new coffee shop.

If you've been to all the coffee shops in your town, make a small road trip out of the day. Grab your friends and head to the next town over to discover a new restaurant, cafe, or coffee shop.

11. Go rock jumping.

Definitely make sure it has rained recently, or go to a park that people visit often.

12. Visit a State Park or National Park.

There may be a State Park closer to you than you think. If you're feeling adventurous, take a trip to a State Park, or rather National Park, that you've never been to.

13. Buy a pet.

If it's a spur-of-the-moment type of thing, a fish is probably your best bet.

14. Paint a room in the house.

Fix up your bedroom, lighten up your office, or offer to paint a room in the house for a family member.

15. Make a new friend or visit a friend.

College is wonderful because you get the chance to meet people from all over. Take advantage of the summer break and pay your friends a visit!

16. Become your best self.

Get that haircut you've been wanting for a while. Treat yourself and get your nails done. Work when you can and read more books. Take more pictures. Cook more meals. Travel alone. Slowly become your best self this summer.

I know every college student has daily thoughts throughout their day. Whether you're walking on campus or attending class, we always have thoughts running a mile a minute through our heads. We may be wondering why we even showed up to class because we'd rather be sleeping, or when the professor announces that we have a test and you have an immediate panic attack.

The Great Christmas Movie Debate

"A Christmas Story" is the star on top of the tree.

One staple of the Christmas season is sitting around the television watching a Christmas movie with family and friends. But of the seemingly hundreds of movies, which one is the star on the tree? Some share stories of Santa to children ("Santa Claus Is Coming to Town"), others want to spread the Christmas joy to adults ("It's a Wonderful Life"), and a select few are made to get laughs ("Elf"). All good movies, but merely ornaments on the Christmas tree of the best movies. What tops the tree is a movie that bridges the gap between these three movies, and makes it a great watch for anyone who chooses to watch it. Enter the timeless Christmas classic, "A Christmas Story." Created in 1983, this movie holds the tradition of capturing both young and old eyes for 24 straight hours on its Christmas Day marathon. It gets the most coverage out of all holiday movies, but the sheer amount of times it's on television does not make it the greatest. Why is it,
then? A Christmas Story does not try to tell the tale of a Christmas miracle or use Christmas magic to move the story. What it does do though is tell the real story of Christmas. It is relatable and brings out the unmatched excitement of children on Christmas in everyone who watches. Every one becomes a child again when they watch "A Christmas Story."

It's the most wonderful time of the year! Christmas is one of my personal favorite holidays because of the Christmas traditions my family upholds generation after generation. After talking to a few of my friends at college, I realized that a lot of them don't really have "Christmas traditions" in their family, and I want to help change that. Here's a list of Christmas traditions that my family does, and anyone can incorporate into their family as well!

It’s here; that time of year when college students turn into preschoolers again. We cry for our mothers, eat everything in sight, and whine when we don’t get our way. It’s finals, the dreaded time of the semester when we all realize we should have been paying attention in class instead of literally doing anything else but that. Everyone has to take them, and yes, unfortunately, they are inevitable. But just because they are here and inevitable does not mean they’re peaches and cream and full of rainbows. Surviving them is a must, and the following five phases are a reality for all majors from business to art, nursing to history.
