Ideas for How to Spice Up Your Sex Life

There are many ways to add some excitement and novelty in the bedroom. Whether it’s been a while since you and your partner have tried something new, or you’re just looking to switch things up, here are some creative ideas to help spice up your sex life.

Role Play

Role play is an excellent way to ignite a spark and explore your fantasies without feeling embarrassed or awkward. To get the most out of your experience, try setting the mood with creative costumes, props, music, and lighting. Don’t forget to talk through what each of you wants out of the experience before creating a scenario that has you both looking forward to playing it out. Remember, role play allows couples to move into uncharted territory in order to explore each other’s desires with excitement and pleasure.

Toys

Adult toys can be integral to a couple's intimate experience, promoting exploration and allowing for new levels of pleasure. It's important to note that there is no one size fits all toy, and a variety of different products are available to best suit every person's tastes. Vibrating toys like bullets or eggs add an extra layer to your experience as they can be used on various erogenous zones stimulating both partners. Dildos provide a more realistic experience for those looking for something more tangible than a vibration. When used properly, these adult toys can help increase the levels of pleasure in your shared moments.

Getting Kinky

Kinky activities allow couples to express themselves openly, explore new boundaries, and discover sensations they may never have experienced before. This could mean anything from light spanking to trying out blindfolds or handcuffs to experimenting with things such as temperature play or bondage. Everything should go smoothly as long as all parties consent beforehand, and everyone feels safe during these activities. Experimenting with different levels of kink can bring positive results if done responsibly and let both you and your partner learn new things about yourselves as you learn what you like and don't like.

Spontaneity

Spontaneous exploration is a great way to surprise and excite your partner, providing an intense form of pleasure that can bring your relationship closer. When it comes to keeping your sex life interesting, stepping outside the boundaries of the usual routines is key. Try incorporating small and unexpected deviations from your usual interactions; suggest a change of scene or introduce something new during the act. Be ready to be flexible and open-minded to explore each other in different contexts, suddenly taking short breaks during dinner or exploring each other outside the bedroom environment. Exploring spontaneity can impressively invigorate both relationships and sex lives alike.

Whether exploring kink, trying out toys, or simply being spontaneous, there are plenty of ways to break out of your routine and spice up your sex life. Experimenting with different ideas can help couples explore each other in new ways and bring them closer together. If both partners are open-minded and committed to making the experience pleasurable and enjoyable, there is no limit to the level of satisfaction you can reach. You can explore new sensations and have fun in the bedroom with a little creativity.

I know every college student has daily thoughts throughout their day. Whether you're walking on campus or attending class, we always have thoughts running a mile a minute through our heads. We may be wondering why we even showed up to class because we'd rather be sleeping, or when the professor announces that we have a test and you have an immediate panic attack.

The Great Christmas Movie Debate

"A Christmas Story" is the star on top of the tree.

The Great Christmas Movie Debate

One staple of the Christmas season is sitting around the television watching a Christmas movie with family and friends. But of the seemingly hundreds of movies, which one is the star on the tree? Some share stories of Santa to children ("Santa Claus Is Coming to Town"), others want to spread the Christmas joy to adults ("It's a Wonderful Life"), and a select few are made to get laughs ("Elf"). All good movies, but merely ornaments on the Christmas tree of the best movies. What tops the tree is a movie that bridges the gap between these three movies, and makes it a great watch for anyone who chooses to watch it. Enter the timeless Christmas classic, "A Christmas Story." Created in 1983, this movie holds the tradition of capturing both young and old eyes for 24 straight hours on its Christmas Day marathon. It gets the most coverage out of all holiday movies, but the sheer amount of times it's on television does not make it the greatest. Why is it,
then? A Christmas Story does not try to tell the tale of a Christmas miracle or use Christmas magic to move the story. What it does do though is tell the real story of Christmas. It is relatable and brings out the unmatched excitement of children on Christmas in everyone who watches. Every one becomes a child again when they watch "A Christmas Story."

It's the most wonderful time of the year! Christmas is one of my personal favorite holidays because of the Christmas traditions my family upholds generation after generation. After talking to a few of my friends at college, I realized that a lot of them don't really have "Christmas traditions" in their family, and I want to help change that. It’s here; that time of year when college students turn into preschoolers again. We cry for our mothers, eat everything in sight, and whine when we don’t get our way. It’s finals, the dreaded time of the semester when we all realize we should have been paying attention in class instead of literally doing anything else but that. Everyone has to take them, and yes, unfortunately, they are inevitable. But just because they are here and inevitable does not mean they’re peaches and cream and full of rainbows. Surviving them is a must, and the following five phases are a reality for all majors from business to art, nursing to history.
