What is the ideal student like?
An ideal student is one who takes responsibility for their own actions. They know that if they become successful, they are the reason. And even when they fail, they are still the reason.
An ideal student will never procrastinate. They know their priorities, and what is to be done tomorrow, is always done today. Students who decide to use their time now to work hard to study will always be the ones to have plenty of luxuries further on in their life. The difference is not the amount of time they spend on something. It is the way they spend their time. Take any famous figures in history and look back at their childhoods; it will be full of harshness and overcoming pain. Mahatma Gandhi, widely considered the Father of India, was a peaceful freedom fighter. But he didn't just gain independence from Great Britain in a snap. He spent many days without food, in prison, marching on the streets, and much more.
Thomas Edison, the great scientist and inventor, went nights without sleep in his lab and days without even seeing his family. Many days he fell asleep under a table or such in his laboratory. Anyone who wants to reach a high-level position in life has to overcome difficulties. Take a track runner, for example. Even their running cannot be done easily. They must jump over tons of hurdles to win the race. Nothing can ever be achieved without working hard and facing pain. All you need is a boost of self-confidence and determination.
An ideal student will work to the best of their abilities in anything and everything they do. It can be a math worksheet or a Science Fair project. It can be a sports competition or even as simple as learning a new fact about something. The important thing is that every inch of your body should be involved in whatever you do. That is the only way that you will put 100% of your effort into it. But this doesn't, in any way, mean that everything you do should be perfect. If you are perfect in all aspects of life, you are either 1) the almighty God or 2) a robot. If you are a true human, you will make small mistakes all the time, but it is imperative that you learn from those mistakes.
An ideal student knows what they are capable of, and what they are going to do to improve himself/herself daily. They know their own comfort zones and what all they will and can achieve. But keep in mind, that the sky is definitely NOT the limit.
An ideal student will aim for the sky and land even further above. Motivational speaker, Les Brown, said, "Shoot for the moon. Even if you miss, you'll land among the stars."
An ideal student will not be upset if their goal is not met. The correct thing to do is to use that attempt as a boost of more determination and aim even higher for next time. It's just like trying to beat your high score multiple times on a game you like. When Thomas Edison finally invented a working light bulb, a reporter questioned him about how he felt to fail almost 1,000 times. He simply replied, "I did not fail 1,000 times. The light bulb was an invention with 1,000 steps." He was so determined that he was not willing to accept failure. Edison used each failure to guide him with what not to build a light bulb with. This optimism will lead to greater achievements in the future.
An ideal student will never start off a task thinking to themselves that it will be incomplete or it is too tough. They will always have a positive mindset before beginning and will also have a thought of 'Will Power'. This constantly reminds them...... "I can do it. I know I can. I will do it." In order to reach your goal, you must place utter focus and determination into every small task. Now remember these and prosper in your life. Good Luck!
