If you knew me in seventh grade going into eighth grade you knew who I obsessed over. The ICONic Boyz. These Boyz were the center of my universe anything that had to do with them I bought it, anything they went too I went too, I was an ultimate fangirl. I never thought this day would come but here are reasons as to why I miss being an ICONiac.

1. The late night voting sessions.

I was in seventh grade staying up all night on my blackberry texting in a number to vote to keep them safe. The boyz ended up coming in second place to I.aM.mE crew.

2. The meet and greets

I remember waiting to see PacificRimVideos with Chris interviewing fans at all the meet and greets. I attended three meet and greets when I was younger, Manalapan Day (June 11th, 2011), RollerJam (September 1st, 2011), Halloween Party (October 30th, 2011), and then one of Vinny's Dance Classes (December 17th, 2011).

3. The Tumblr days

If you were a fan of the boyz you one hundred percent had a Tumblr account. On Tumblr, we would talk about anything. From how unfair ABDC was, to fan fictions about the Boyz, and other things like gifs and "unseen" pictures.

4. The dances

They had some of the best dances on ABDC and that's exactly why they came in second place. One of my favorite ones was their Teenage Dream dance (look it up on YouTube you won't regret it).

5. The Vlados

If you didn't own a pair of Vlados you were a fake fan (I had the black and pink ones but I never wore them).

6. They were adorable

I was the same age as them when they were famous and I was absolutely obsessed with them especially Nick Mara (pictured above). Everyone had their one favorite and your favorite was yours and couldn't be anyone else's.

7. The Merch

The ICONic Boyz had some of the coolest merch. I remember having sweatpants for their dance studio ICON and a t-shirt with their logo on it (This shirt said Boys will be Boyz).

8. The other boyz we didn't know about

Only seven of the ICONic Boyz were on ABDC so when I found out about the other six boyz I was shook (I still have that poster signed by all of them).

9. We all wanted Geo to be our dance instructor

Geo was the coolest. Hands down don't argue.

10. Open Houses at ICON

Even if you didn't attend the open house, standing outside waiting for the boyz to come out of ICON was the best.

11. We all wanted to be apart of the ICONic Girlz

We all wanted to be one of them. They were all perfect and amazing dancers (@Alexis Hargrave you are still my favorite).

12. We also wanted to be apart of the ICONic Dollz

The older more mature ones that we all wanted to be like when we grew up (@Nicolette Fusco who isn't in this picture I love you).

13. They're matching outfits

They were the best things to ever happen to me especially the neon yellow Adidas jumpsuits.

These days were some of the best days of my life and I will always miss them and regret not cherishing them more. @ICONicBoyz I miss and love you always.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

19 Lessons I'll Never Forget from Growing Up In a Small Town

There have been many lessons learned.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
