Ice skating and hot cocoa and Christmas lights, oh my!

Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays!

I know, I know. Halloween was last weekend. And for some people, that's too early to start thinking about the winter holidays. And for some, it's not. Guess what? Both are okay! No matter what your mindset is, it's ok to look forward to the holiday season, whether that's this week or next month!

1. Christmas music on the radio

It's super fun to listen too while your driving, to play in the background while you sip hot cocoa, or to dance to when you're bored (or cleaning 5 minutes before your entire family is supposed to arrive).

2. Getting a Christmas tree

Take some artsy pictures, find the perfect tree, and spend time with your family. Bonus points if it's snowing.

3. Decorate said Christmas tree

Once you pick your tree ( and you know, let it settle), turn up the Christmas tunes, grab some gingerbread men and hot cocoa, and pull out all the ornaments and go to town!

4. Shopping

I love to shop for myself, don't get me wrong, but shopping for other people is my favorite. ESPECIALLY when the stores are all decorated for Christmas!

5. Thanksgiving

Turkey. Mashed potatoes. Cranberry sauce. Corn. Stuffing. Food. Enough said.

6. Hot cocoa

Because it's chilly outside, you can pretty much get away with drinking hot cocoa 3 or 4 times a day. Take advantage of this.

7. Snow

Whether you're nine or nineteen or ninety nine, spend some time out in the snow. Build a snowman, build a snow fort, or have a snowball fight. Make sure to have some fun this winter season. Maybe throw up some christmas lights while you're at it!

8. Christmas Movies

There's probably too many to watch in one year, ( Unless you watch like three a day for the entire year), but make sure you watch at least a few during the holiday season. I promise you won't regret it. They're sure to put you in a good mood.

9. Decorating your entire house

Have you made a giant paper chain and hung it around your entire house? Have you cut out paper snowflakes? Set up a train set? Put up window clings? Decorated your bushes and trees with strings of lights? All of these things are Christmas essentials. So go to town!

10. See a light show

These are literally everywhere. Turn up the Christmas music and visit one or two. Or a hundred if you're feeling a holiday road trip!

11. Go iceskating

And if you don't know how to skate, go with people who do! It's always tons of fun.

There are tons of things to do during the holiday season. So make sure to make the best of it! It only comes once a year you know!

18 Things I Want To Do Now That I'm 18

I'm technically an adult, so I'm legally required to live a little, right?

For the entirety of my high school career, I was always seen as the goody-two-shoes. I never got in trouble with a teacher, I kept stellar grades, and when I wasn't doing extracurricular activities, I was at home studying. Even when I did go out, it was usually with a bunch of fellow band geeks. The night would end before 11:00 PM and the only controversial activity would be a fight based on who unfairly won a round of Apples-to-Apples when someone else clearly had a better card (I promise I'm not still holding a grudge).

Now that I'm officially an adult, I want to pursue some new things. I want to experience life in a way that I never allowed myself to do prior to entering college. These are the years that I'm supposed to embark on a journey of self-discovery, so what better way to do that than to create a bucket list?

I've been super busy lately with school work, studying, etc. Besides the fact that I do nothing but AP chemistry and AP economics, I constantly think of stupid questions that are almost impossible to answer. So, maybe you could answer them for me, and if not then we can both wonder what the answers to these 15 questions could be.
