A brand made famous by YouTubers and instagram influencers, has a permanent store at the Water Tower Place in Chicago. Being skeptical about online make up purchasing (namely for skin tone and product pigmentation issues), I had never tried the brand myself - but I was no stranger to it. Even the most novice Beauty Guru follower (not unlike myself) would have to be living under a rock to have never heard the brand's name or their reputations - particularly with brushes and eyeshadow pallets.
My first thought upon entering the store - after getting greeted and being told about Christmas Eve sales, was pure shock for how cheap the products were! I was in the mall on Christmas Eve to buy concealer as I was running low, and was actually on the way up to Sephora to restock on my trusty Naked Skin by Urban Decay, but I saw the Morphe store instead. Very strategic placement, on their part. In here, concealers only cost $9!
A make up artist helped me match my skin tone and showed me the effects of various undertones on my skin. After purchasing, and now using the product, I can say that it has the same consistency as the Naked Skin, perhaps even more full of a coverage. However, I felt as if the Naked Skin blended into my skin tone a little easier, achieving a more natural finish. In addition, this one has a matte finish that I'm still getting accustomed to, but think looks great nonetheless.
I also bought their famous Continuous Setting Spray, under an awesome deal - 2 for $22. I can already tell I'm going to love it as it leaves the faintest of mists - my guilty pleasure is going overboard, being consumed by the hydrating feeling of a good setting spray. Since this one is so faint, yet refreshing I for see myself using it quite liberally.
