I Tried The Stitch Fix Box And It Has Already Turned My Life Around

It started in August when I saw an ad while I was scrolling through social media one day, and usually, I would have bypassed the ad but during this moment, I thought "Why not?"

I clicked on the ad and became obsessed. That ad I clicked on way back in August was an ad for a clothing subscription company called Stitch Fix.

How it works is first you create a profile and fill out your style profile. They ask you questions about your size, your style, what aspects of your body you like to show off. They try to be as detailed as possible to get an accurate reading of who you are.

Once you fill that out you get to pick a date to receive your box. You pick the date and then you wait.

I waited and waited until I forgot that I even ordered a box.

At the end of the month, I had a huge box to pick up from the mailroom and it was basically like Christmas. The box was wrapped up and was so cute.

I ripped it open like a kid on Christmas morning and looked through my box of goodies. There was a shirt, a pair of jeans, one pair of heels, a sweatshirt, and a dress.

It was all very cute and trendy, there were things in that box that I would have never even tried on at a store. This is why I like Stitch Fix so much. They look at my style and my comments and created a box of things that were new to me but things that they knew I would love.

I tried everything on and loved the entire box. I would have bought everything, but then, I looked at the prices...

The price of everything was probably about $300, which was WAY above my price range.

I ended up only buying one item, a black cropped sweatshirt. I love it and basically wear it every day.

I loved the box so much so I decided to get another for the next month. In the following box, I, again, loved everything.

In this box, there were two shirts, a pair of yoga pants, a jumpsuit, and a purse. One of the shirts and the jumpsuit were not my style but I liked that I was able to figure out that I did not like it without having to try them on in an actual store.

The rest of the items I loved, and I ended up buying one shirt and the purse.

Overall, I love Stitch Fix and am planning on ordering my next box later today. The thing I really like is that you are in control over everything, you pick the style you want, and when you get the box, even the price range that you want to pay.

There is a $20 shipping fee each box but when you buy something that $20 is credited to your purchase. You also are not required to sign up for a subscription, instead, you can schedule a box to come one month and then wait a while and whenever you decide you want another, you can get it!

No worrying about hating the product and needing to pay an extra fee to cancel a subscription. For me, Stitch Fix is the perfect way to get trendy outfits without leaving the comfort of my own home.

In honor of Mother’s Day, I have been thinking of all the things my mom does for my family and me. Although I couldn’t write nearly all of them, here are a few things that moms do for us.

They find that shirt that’s right in front of you, but just you can’t seem to find.

10 Reasons To Thank Your Best Friend

Take the time to thank that one friend in your life you will never let go of.

Thank You on wooden blocks

1. Thank you for being the one I can always count on to be honest.

A true friend will tell you if the shirt is ugly, or at least ask to borrow it and "accidentally" burn it.

2. Thank you for accepting me for who I am.

A best friend will love you regardless of the stale french fries you left on the floor of your car, or when you had lice in 8th grade and no one wanted to talk to you.

Do as I say, not as I do.

Your eyes widen in horror as you stare at your phone. Beads of sweat begin to saturate your palm as your fingers tremble in fear. The illuminated screen reads, "Missed Call: Mom."

Growing up with strict parents, you learn that a few things go unsaid. Manners are everything. Never talk back. Do as you're told without question. Most importantly, you develop a system and catch on to these quirks that strict parents have so that you can play their game and do what you want.

"Friends" maybe didn’t have everything right or realistic all the time, but they did have enough episodes to create countless reaction GIFs and enough awesomeness to create, well, the legacy they did. Something else that is timeless, a little rough, but memorable? Living away from the comforts of home. Whether you have an apartment, a dorm, your first house, or some sort of residence that is not the house you grew up in, I’m sure you can relate to most of these!
