Christmas break is the best!

Why Christmas break is much needed.

For most students, getting through the last month of school before Christmas break is very painful. Most of us are probably walking zombies dragging ourselves around from the countless nights spent staying up late studying.

You have the fake Christmas break (Thanksgiving) where, at the end of, homework is still due. Fake Christmas break gives you a taste of what a real break will feel like and boy, does it feel good. Then there is the last few weeks of scrambling all of your knowledge together to gather your senses for finals. By this time in the semester most students probably have already thought about why they are doing school, what they are doing with their life, or dropping out because of all the stress that comes with finals and college life.

Tips to successfully beat finals assets.rbl.ms

Once finals are done a huge burden is lifted off the shoulders of every student and it is time for winter break. Winter break allows us students to recover and have a good mental break from the all the stresses of finals and assignments. It allows us to relax and spend time with family, which is very important. Another thing it allows for us to do is let our livers take a little break, if you know what I mean.

All those assignments, exams, and quizzes take a toll on our brains, so by the time December rolls around our brains are stew. Most of us need Christmas break to get away from those hard assignments or 20 page essays because some people are one assignment away from having a mental breakdown. Others, maybe ten assignments past a mental breakdown... Whichever it may be, do not worry, everything will be alright. It is nice to spend the holidays with family and get in the Christmas spirit as well. It will be nice to have a home cooked meal once again... Some of the best times with family are often spent during the holidays. Catching up with family feels so good when you have not seen them for a while. Some students might have partied a little too much or drank a lot because of all the stress, so our livers will thank us greatly over the month long winter break. That is unless you do not stop the partying when you get home.

For the students that are past the mental breakdown, only a few more weeks until finals are over and Christmas is here, so hang in there. If you are thinking about pulling your hair out, don't, it is not worth it because that hair is needed for family Christmas pictures. The much needed winter break is right around the corner, so hang in there and get A's on finals.

I'm sure, like me, many of you received lots of gift cards over the holidays. After working retail seasonally, here are a few tips that I learned in order to make the employees at your favorite store just a little happier and not want to charge you extra on your purchase for being awful. Here are some times when you should be nicer to retail workers than you actually are!

5 Untold Struggles Of The Short Friend

I'm the Short Friend. I've been the Short Friend since about the seventh grade. I'm the one who stands in the front of the photos, gets made fun of for their height, and still shops in the kids department.

This article is not for the Almost Short Friends, i.e. the 5'3" and 5'4" Friends. No no, this is for the Actually Short Friends, i.e. the Barely Scraping 5'1" and shorter Short Friends.

11 Things All Call Center Workers Can Empathize With Better Than Anyone

This semester I started my journey as a member of my University's Alumni Outreach Team. This means a lot of things, but primarily it means that I get to make phone calls to parents and alumni two nights a week to update contact information, collect things like business cards and volunteer hours, and even ask for money.
