3 Benefits I Saw When I Put On Blue-Light-Blocking Glasses Over Regular Glasses

Since college, I've been wearing glasses but they aren't normal glasses. My glasses are blue-light-blocking glasses and they have so many benefits.

Freshman year of college I was introduced to blue light glasses by my friend Karissa. To this day I am so happy that I got a pair because they have helped to reduce my headaches and eye strained. These issues we coming from the overexposure of artificial blue light. Blue light is all around us, which is emitted from computers, phones, TVs, and LED lights. So, If you spend any time utilizing these electronics or even just spend lots of time indoors you may want to invest in something to help put some ease on your eyes.

1. Helps you to sleep better

if you have trouble sleeping, like many college students it may because you are on your phone late at night and that artificial light keeps your brain up thinking that it is day time. Wearing blue light glasses are more likely to help you a better sleep because those harmful light rays your phone is putting off are blocked.

2. Reduces screen glare

ever looking at a screen and the lighting is not right in the environment and you are having trouble seeing, well with blue light glasses you can say goodbye to this common problem.

3. Reduces Headaches

I am one to have headaches after being exposed to too much blue light and in my experience blue light glasses have helped to reduce the amount of headaches I've gotten. As well it has been able to increase the time I can to spend on my electronics for personal and school situations because I feel better when using them now.

It's officially December. There is less than a month of 2024, and I still feel like yesterday was summer. Now comes the merriest time of the year, the Christmas season.

Everyone has been waiting for this time of year since mid-October (which is way too early, in my opinion) or before. It's a time of love, family, memory-making, and gift-giving. A lot of times when I ask friends and family what they want, I get a lot of "I don't know" or "I don't care."

I was sitting at my cubicle, now that I am an adult, looking at the rain pouring down on the windowsill, bumming on life, wishing for the rain to just stop for a full day.

And since this is my first year out of college being a “real person,” I am totally missing the winter, spring and summer breaks. I am sure all of us have felt this way even if just for a hot minute…

If you go to or went to Kent State, then more than likely you have done or will do some of these things.

1. You’ve slipped and fallen on the ice at least once.
