With mothers day coming up, everyone finds a way to think of ways their moms are amazing. Whether it is your mom, stepmom, caretaker, a mom who passed, etc. Moms have given us everything.
I remember being high school and being the worst teenager. I was always so moody and rude and crazy towards my parents because of everything going on in life. Honestly, I did not even have that much going on, I was just a rude and hormonal teenager. Well, now that I am in college I have definitely had time to reflect back on my high school days. It makes me upset so think about how I treated my mom and my dad sometimes. After all, they have done absolutely everything for me.
They dealt with me and my twin brother, and they are now dealing with twins in college. On top of that, they are now dealing with my little brother who is also now a moody teenager in high school. After becoming older and being more mature, I appreciate my parents so much and I make sure to tell them every day.
I probably am so annoying because I call my mom like 4 times a day asking her questions and telling her random things about my life. She sits back and laughs and listens to me every day. It is so important to call your parents every day and just see how they are and tell them that you love them.
My mom grew up with a strict mom, and she has learned a lot from it. Now, her parenting style is definitely on the stricter side but she is also lenient about most things. It is perfect for me. Her strict parenting style has taught me to be strong and disciplined, and her lenient parenting style has taught me to be more on my own and independent and take consequences for actions.
The point of all of this is to say how appreciative I am of my mom and how much we all should appreciate the ones that take care of us. I know that there are times you might never get along, because trust me, my mom and I have been through many rough patches. However, they have only made us stronger and it has only made me realize how right she is about everything.
With mothers day coming up, tell your mom or anyone that takes care of you that you love them. No matter what, they will always be by your side through anything and everything. You are their child and their love forever through any circumstance.
