There's no doubt that these tasty creations have filled all of our Instagram feeds for the past couple years. Call me basic all you want, but I LOVE acai bowls. Not just because my consuming them completes my white-girl aura, but for many other reasons!

1. They're delicious.

Ask anyone who's tried them; açaí bowls are simply yummy! Most of the time they are made to order, so you can make it however you'd like, catered to your personal food faves.

2. They're aesthetically pleasing.

Acai bowls are undeniably the most photogenic meal. Why do you think everyone posts pictures of them?

3. You can make them yourself.

Giphy

All of the basic ingredients for a complete açaí bowl can be found at your average grocery store. You can make them as elaborate or simple as you'd like; it's up to you!

4. They are affordable.

Giphy

The average cost of an açaí bowl is around $8-$10, which I know you would easily spend on an greasy, fatty, altogether unhealthy meal at Chipotle or Chick-fil-A. Make the healthy choice instead and get a bowl!

5. They make a perfect meal for any time of day.

Giphy

They may not look it, but these babies are filling! Although I prefer to enjoy them as breakfast, açaí bowls are great for any mealtime.

6. They can be topped with basically anything.

Giphy

You can add as many or as little amount of toppings as you'd like! Personally, I prefer my açaí bowls loaded with blueberries, banana, strawberries, granola, coconut flakes, and Nutella, but I have a friend who tops hers with only bananas and peanut butter. That's right, they're personal as can be!

7. They are a great date food.

Giphy

My idea of the perfect date is easily a day spent out on the beach, catchin' some rays and splashin' around, followed by a beeline with my honey to the nearest açaí bowl stand. Boys, your girl will love it!

8. They're healthy.

Giphy

The typical açaí bowl is filled with antioxidants, minerals, fiber, vitamins, protein, and healthy fats. Now that is a superfood!

9. The shops they are sold in are altogether adorable.

Giphy

The popular chain açaí bowl shops that I love the most are Playa Bowls and Vitality Bowls. Each place adds their own unique twist on smoothie bowls in general. I'd highly recommend checking them out!

10. They basically taste like ice cream or frozen yogurt.

Giphy

Skip the sugary, fattening dessert and choose an açaí bowl instead. Your tummy will thank you!

Although right now they are primarily prevalent in and around beachy, coastal towns, my hope is that they eventually branch out to the Midwest as well. Give these yummy, unique bowls a try!

5 Things To Do That Are Better Than Writing A Paper

Don't waste your time trying to write that paper when there are so many more interesting things you could be doing.

Writing a paper is never fun and is rarely rewarding. The writer's block, the page requirement, be specific, but don’t summarize, make sure you fixed any grammatical errors, did you even use spellcheck? and analyze, analyze, analyze.

Papers can be a major pain. They take up so much time and effort that by the end of the process you hate yourself and you hate the professor for making life so difficult. Questions of your existence start roaming in your mind. Am I even cut out for college if I can’t write a single paper? Am I even capable of taking care of myself if I lack the energy to open my laptop and start typing?

I can barely remember back when I was the only child. Most would say it’s because it is extremely difficult to remember things as a toddler but I would say it's because I was bored until my sister came along. My mother always says how important the "sister bond" is and with every year that passes I realize how right she is. Instead of writing a novel about all of the wonderful things there are about having a sister I decided to list a few of them instead.

It is the time of our lives that we are beginning to enter the adult world and most of us, if not all of us, have no idea what we are doing. It's like starting a video game, but skipping the tutorial. We're all just running around aimlessly hoping we accidentally do something right that moves us along the right path. Now that graduation has just happened, or is right around the corner for some of us, it's time to start thinking about how we are going to take care of ourselves once we are on our own.

If you’re anything like me, you love a good cup of coffee. My coffee always comes from Starbucks; I refuse to drink it from anywhere else. Over the years, it’s become one of my biggest addictions. College involves a whirlwind of emotions, whether it’s from the stress of an assignment (or twenty), or from fighting with your roommate.
